For those of you who want a simple 5-minute Qigong for tinnitus exercise, follow along with this short routine to encourage the flow of Qi (energy) to help reduce ringing in the ears. It will also benefit your Kidney system because of the close connection between the ears and Kidneys in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
There are no promises or guarantees with this method as tinnitus can be stubborn and difficult to treat, although it is definitely worth a try to practice a few times a day for a few days in a row.

I’m Dr Janice Tucker. Since 2000, I have been sharing medical Qigong with thousands of students and clients to help them live healthier lives; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
These simple methods will show you how to:
• relax mentally and emotionally to reduce stress;

I highly recommend using white noise, such as sounds of rain, the ocean, or anything that helps drown out disturbing noises, for those who struggle to sleep at night. It can effectively mask ringing noises without being bothersome.

I just want to throw out there to please make sure your tinnitus is not from an underlying condition like ear infections or fluid buildup in the middle ear. Many times they go undetected by Drs including ETN's. Fluids can take upto 6 months to drain naturally. I accumulated fluids because of my deviation septum (crooked nose). Come to find out my tinnitus faded once I addressed my medical issues. In my case it was an ear infection, fluids in the middle ear and sinus inflammation from my deviated septum. BELIEVE!!

Have not tried this particular exercise before, It does work. Beating the Heavenly Drum also works with consistency. My ENT recommended melatonin but all it did was make me feel too drowsy and sensitive the next day. This seems to help more without the side effects. Now to remind myself to DO IT! Thank you!

Using an electric shaver, electric toothbrush, any vibrator and they work The science behind this is to transmit vibrations via the cartilage that connects the optic nerve to the brain. This is more efficient than tapping your head with your fingers. If you want a quick try without reading the rest: turn on the vibrator place the non-cutting end to that part of the ear that is next to the entrance of the ear canal. You will have to move around in order to get max sound. .Go slow at first if the vibrator is large, it will produce a very loud sound. Just experiment until you don't hear tinnitus. I had stumbled on a method that uses the end part electric shaver NOT the cutting part. You can even use an electric brush. Place the vibrating part at the bottom of the ear, not at the ear lobe but the part above it with a triangle shape. . This part is directly in front of the ear canal .If you press on it, you will hear a pop sound. This protects the ear canal. The point to touch with the vibrator is on the end of the protective part of the ear. PLaying around this part of the ear with the vibrator until you hear fairly good sounds. The sounds can be quite loud if you are using a loud shaver. When ready , try not to push the vibrator too hard to locate the spot with the loudest volume. I started slowly and left vibrator on for 1-2 minutes, but they weren't effective then raised to 3-4 .That produced the results of not hearing tinnitus for a day. Next day, I had a slight ringing and I was able to eliminate it with a minute session. Please report back your method and adjustments

I noticed this myself after blow drying my hair. The noise is almost gone every time I use it. I’ve read that the brain is recalibrating turning attention away from the noise. From what I understand if this is done continuously and repetitively eventually the noise will disappear. I’ve not had this happen as I’ve not been consistent.

Hi Jeff. No, it's an ancient Qigong practice which doesn't work for everyone but is worth a try. 🙂

It may not work if you only try once Eddie. The best way to give it a proper chance to work is to try for a few mins a few times per day for a week or so. Then you'll have a better idea. I wish it was magic and worked immediately but that is rarely the case I'm afraid. 🙂

Just show me the technique for Christ sake. And keep the 15 minute dialogue to yourself. It either works or it doesnt

Wow, this is only a 3 minute video. A little patience wouldn't go amiss! Can't make it any shorter than that! Also, it's important to understand what and why you are doing it so you can use your mind and intention to help give you the best result - the mind heals the body. 🙂
