I'm saving the time at 5:18, because I think that's the general direction my journal will be traveling. I really love dark backgrounds with light foregrounds, so I'm getting a journal with black paper and using white, silver, and gold gel pens along with various stickers and washi tape. I'm considering using stickers that correspond with my main goals for the particular weekday. I've so far designated Fridays as "financial", Tuesdays as "shopping", and Wednesdays as "coffee" for socially focused, networking activities. I'm journaling primarily to create a comfortable space to play with pretty stickers and washi tape. So this, along with some of the other layouts (like the last one on your first video in this series) can all be in my plan. Maybe I'll have a different style of layout based on which week of the month it is. Sometimes a week in a month will only have a couple of days in it, so - stickers! 😍

Love the last one best! Great way to combine events AND rider carols method. Also currently doing entire month and weekly spreads in one go!

YAY! I got really lazy at the end of Feb that I didn't even bother to do weekly spreads!!

I haven’t even done a February setup.😂. I just have a piece of paper with to-dos on it. I really love these 5 min videos! The floral was my fave!

I really like the term "task batching". I set up 4 full weeks of March in 2ish hours because I like using tombows to fill in my Tue/Thur/Sat columns on my Alastair-esque weeklies. The placement of the washi to get those neat columns (learned from one of your older videos) takes the most time.

I watch so many bujo videos, but this series really got me! You made it easy for someone who has been contemplating switching from a planner system to a bullet journal. I can see how this will work now! Thank you! Absolutely subbed and cannot wait to see new videos!

I use my bullet journal as a way to decompress at the end of the day, so sometimes I end up doodling and sometimes I end up creating the whole of the following week. I decided to do it and check: taking my time, with dutch doors and drop shadows and washi, 20 minutes

I do my weeklies for the whole month. I usually take my time because I start dabbling with it half way through the previous month I liked those a lot. Especially the ones where there is a small box for events and tasks. The last one looked especially useful. I don't really like having events and tasks mixed together in the same space. Of course there are ways to deal with it, but I like the idea of separating them. March is all done, but maybe I'll try that in April.

I like the one with the Alastair method best. Right now I am only doing a task list for the rest of February and probably some in March as well. I'm not going many places nor do I have many appointments thanks to covid. :(

I am transitioning from how I used to lay out a year of weeks and put events in as they came up to putting those events into a years worth of Ryder method months and then doing fun weeklies, leaving space to do daily lists of days call for it.

I've been using the Alastair (?) method for over a year now, but I've recently started putting two weeks onto one double spread, with two weeks of spaces for events on the left, then task list on the right. I've also started doing only a colour palette for my weeklies rather than drawings/sketches of my monthly theme, so that cut down the time a lot! So many 10-15 mins every two weeks?

also great vid! Another thing to note is that if you do a spread a few times it becomes quicker to set up! So my weeklies, because I use the same one every week, have been cut down a lot!

Hi! I have a question if you have a to-do section aside of the daily ones, what do you write in them cause you sometimes have an events section so you don't write that and my brain can't figure it out. I usually write my to do's in the boxes for every day so I'm curious. =)))) hopefully you understand

Hi! Sometimes I have tasks for the week that don’t necessarily need to get done on a specific day, so they will go in that to do list section, or if I run out of room for in the space for any given day, extra tasks can go on that list 😄 hope that makes sense! 💜
