What kind of thread do you use, in general, and for these lovely earrings, in particular? And about how much do you start with? Half an arm span, or less?

im using regular sewing thread(doubled it!!) but you can use beading wire ...length of the thread is 22-26 inc .It depends on the beading pattern or beads size. for earrings use 15-18 in. If the thread is not enough , make a knot. It will get hidden through the beads.

Isn't it actually 32 seed beads then including the ones on either side of the pearl and 5 silver beads? Not that it's a huge deal or anything and I'm sure everyone can figure that out once they start making the earrings.
