Because the way Etwebeth (and I lked very much this player in TOULON ) moves and plays does not fit the actual rugby rules and spirit but only the way SAF and some south teams have been playing for years, but is obsolete now. it was ok when I was playing with my 180cm/80kg. He's a special player, a massive specimen but I don't get how he got this treatment. I'm barely 1 minute and 30 seconds into the video and I've already seen him tackle opponents by the neck twice (Savea and Tuilagi). Also showing him shuffling with Itoje after Kolbe's thousandth contact with an opponent in the air is supposed to be a highlight ? I don't know any other player who gets away with so much. The 2023 World Cup was a perfect display of that, he should have gotten a red card against France and New-Zealand but nothing. He regularly charges with his elbow in front, tackles way too high, finds ways to disturb actions illegally and yet always gets away with it. Truly fascinating.

He's a proponent of something i don't get about the modern game. If a defending player leads with a forearm or shoulder into the attacking player it's dangerous play resulting in a yellow or red card. So why can guys like him run at defenders & then stoop down into the tackle with a forearm or shoulder? Stupid. Don't get me wrong, he's a top player, but i counted at least 3 high tackles round the neck & a bagful of those forearm smashes as he was carrying the ball into a tackle. It's stupid...if the guy tackling does it he gets sin-binned, so why not the offensive player too?
