My hardest part for me is staying consistent. Winters in Minnesota don’t help much either 🥶

When I was living in Michigan that was the hardest time for me to come up with ideas.

Totally agree. I am guilty of the first 4. So far I have been consistent with uploads, for the 3 years of doing this. Nice video. 👍

Being consistent gets me all the time. :) Thank you for watching!

Those are all good things to focus on, for sure! I try to do all those, in all the videos. It's exhausting, especially at 3 videos per week. Great topic, man! The hardest one for me sometimes is "what to talk about" ... but then something random pops in my head and I go with it... and we promptly end up with a video after umpteen derailments :D

Several times I have just started talking but then it ends up being something I question if anyone would even care about. Maybe I should just start posting those when they happen. 🤔

Agree with all of them…and I’m guilty of all of them Mike! I have been so inconsistent for the last year. With the move, work schedule, home renovations, it’s been tough. As for audio, I HATE closed face helmets. All of them. They take too much of the enjoyment out of riding for me. I did mount an open-faced mic that worked flawlessly and so does my Cardo open-faced kit. I’m just less into the “talk while riding” videos for my channel. I do enjoy it when some motovloggers (like you) do it. Great topic!
@NVARider9 ай бұрын
I have always used closed face helmets. Everytime I think I want to try an open face helmet I'll take a big bug or a rock off the shield and I decide full face is good. :) I understand work and life commitments. Something always seems to be going on. Thank you for watching!

If we're keeping score, I got 3 out of 5.😂 Lack of planning, cutting out dead air, and lack of consistency. 🤙

Yep. Goos points. Im slowly starting a channel. Mainly for my friends and family to see what I do when I'm out exploring...telling a story I would add to your list. But loading videos is also good, if you have the footage to upload. Here in the pacific northwest. We don't have your nice texas weather. And only recently started filming too. But when in a long ride, it find it hard to later to go into all the SD cards, is figuring out what clip comes first and so on. Keeping it in order and another one is half way through editing and your realize you lost one SD card. Sound, yeah thats a tuff one too. Cause you can make sure it sounds good at home, then go out for s ride and afterna day or so if riding, dust creeps into your mic connection. And your dont even realize its all scratchy till you get into editing....this is all from a basically new guy. A really new guy to youtube.

Only been in Texas for 2 years. Michigan before that so I understand the winter months. I never had enough of a backlog of videos to get through the winter.

Dead space is a big one. That comes with experience in editing. Any intro more than 15 seconds is to long. Or have a rotating intro like I do to keep people interested in whats coming up next. also, people give up way to quickly. They think motovlogging is a get rich quick type thing. It's not and it's a slow climb and has very small peaks. You just have to do this for fun
@NVARider9 ай бұрын
I hear ya with long intros. If I'm really interested in the video I will watch it or try and skip past. Otherwise I click off. Giving up for sure should have been on the list. I have no illusions of getting rich doing this. I did think I would be at 1k by now but hey, whatever. Slow and steady. :) Thank you for your comment!

Audio is important. I listen to most videos due to my job .
@NVARider9 ай бұрын
Audio is probably the one thing I will click off from every time if it is really bad. If you can't hear what they are saying there's no sense in watching.

I hate super long intro and outros... I usually skip through them if I am on a PC and I have certain channels I only watch on a PC for that reason. On my phone I will click away at times just because it is harder to skip through.
@NVARider9 ай бұрын
Yeah that is one I didn't think of. I have started some videos that looked pretty cool then it goes into this long intro. I'll skip the into or just skip the video.
