I have a 2004 f350 6.0. I love it but everyone else hates it. I was so happy 😄 reading a news 📰 article yesterday 02/21/21 that the 6.0 is the best diesel to buy and can easily go over 500,000 miles if you take good care of it.

6.0 upgrades.== 6.4 bango bolts Blue spring upgrade Exhaust Dummy plugs and stand pipes updates Bullet proof diesel FICM Bullet proof diesel water pump 7.3 fan clutch Egr delete for sure. If you have original oil cooler I'll definitely replace it with ford OEM Cooler. They have upgraded the technology on it. STC Fitting upgrade. Blue top steering box Save money then do studs. But make damn sure they install those correctly or you will be back doing it again. If you need heads KILL DEVIL DIESEL is the best out there right now. (O-Ringed) for sure. Don't ignore that...

I don’t mind a small lift on a diesel pickup or any pick up for that matter. But at the farm we call these city boy pickups cause u can’t use them the way they were intended. We love our pickups but u have to be able to pull a fifth wheel with a diesel number one!

Like your vids been watching them for a while and man I will say you have done 10 trucks worth of work on that thing hope your next build you go full body off full motor and trans build powder coated frame and then build it up to the final paint job.... and video the whole process. I used to do it that way on all my builds back in the day I wish youtube was a thing in my day

Don't get me wrong, these are definitely some neat mods, but *need* might be a stretch lol. For the average joe, need would be more like the bulletproofed EGR cooler and head studs, assuming the heads eventually lifted causing the gasket to go bye bye. Tailgates and straight pipes are more like bonuses lol.

Coolant flush and a coolant filter is a must , and update the stand pipe and dummy plugs. While your in there in the 05-07 a one piece stc fitting should be done

@Cole Gill it appears to be a filter, but it's actually a coolant conditioner to prevent electrolysis from damaging the cylinder walls or liners.

@@sonnydayz2118 well the one I mean it’s made for your oil cooler, it’s in-line your coolant runs through it & it filters particulates to prevent blockage in your coolant lines and ports in the oil cooler, though I’m sure there’s another version that you’re talking about but idrk like I said I don’t have one at all on mine, I honestly don’t usually have much of a problem with debris getting into my coolant to begin with😂

I did the blue spring mod a couple of weeks ago on my 05 6.0 and the hardest part was simply getting the rubber hose off and back on, it is metal on 04 and back which apparently is easier.

Yeah the intercooler pipe having a boot and being rubber is definitley a lot easier for removal! The plastic/rubber black ones on 05-07 make it quiet the pain! Lol.

@@JUSTINHAWKSMITH No worries. I appreciate the response. It’s a mod that extends the fuel sending unit so the truck can use the entire amount of fuel. My truck thinks it’s running out of gas at 1/4 tank. I’ve seen videos of the 7.3 needing that mod to fix the same issue.

I been researching the 5 inch exhaust and it seems they don’t make one that goes all the way to the turbo. Please put a link where you purchase yours and how much it cost a muffler shop in texas told me they will do it for 800 but only from cat converter back.

The down pipe will be 4” from down pipe back will be 5”. You can purchase these exhaust on eBay and save tons of money. Under 500 easily.

It will be louder inside yes but not by much. As long as you run it all the way out the back behind the back wheel and don’t do a axle dump or dump it before the axle it will not be super loud inside the cab. About as loud as motor inside the cab if that. But with windows down definitley will hear it outside ! Haha. Sounds amazing

I hate the term Bulletproofing. There are a large variety of mods you can do to make your truck reliable and hold up great for the average joe without just taking it to the nearest shop and handing over 5-7k to have it “bulletproofed” correctly. I’ll definitley talk about that in later videos

If head gaskets are good and you don’t plan on towing heavily or hot rodding it. Me personally i don’t feel head studs are necessary. Of course always a good idea to keep enough set back for the job to be done if time comes. But just wasted money doing it when it doesn’t need done. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. 🤙🏻

Upgrade the HPOP ! Stand pipes dummy plugs and blue spring… keep clean oil in it , motorcraft filters only! Watch oil temps and coolant temps. Never let them get more than 15+ degrees apart. If so , time for a new oil cooler! Keep coolant filter kit on it.

Good video, but you need to STOP rocking back and forth while your making the video it is especially apparent at the end of the video when you're talking about the tailgate. Also you can do without the "peace" at the end you're not from the ghetto.
