It's been a tough couple of months for me with my ME/CFS, anxiety and depression. It started to get out of hand because of the amount of university work that was necessary but my failure to acknowledge how bad the chronic illness flare up was allowed it to get completely out of hand. In this video I talk about dealing with spoonie conditions and how I messed up and caused the biggest crash I’ve had in years. And advice on how to avoid the same mistakes I made by not pacing myself or asking for help soon enough.
Everyone with ME/CFS is different! So you or someone you know might have a very different experience with ME/CFS than I do at the moment! Also, remember that chronic conditions such as these can change dramatically over time, so my life may look very different to this in the future (and has been A LOT worse in the past).
Thank you so much for watching!! Make sure to like, comment, and subscribe to see more videos from me every other SUNDAY! (Depending on my health)

You're lucky that your parents support you. During my first year with long covid they were supportive. But now they think that it's just in my head and it's all anxiety. But I feel exhausted and nauseated just after cleaning cat litter. Can't work or study. You 're so strong. I wish you good health.

Urgghh that sucks!! getting people to understand can be really tricky, hopefully they come around soon!! (In my experience most people understand eventually, this video was taken about 7 years into my chronic illness, I def did not have this level of understanding from people at the start)

I am so sorry!! You are accomplishing so much in the state you are in. You should be so proud of yourself. It’s so hard!! I get it !! I have cfs fibromyalgia and central sensitization and gastroparesis. And more and it sometimes can take 10 spoons just to brush your teeth or 1 spoon on a good day. I got all this in my late 30s so I can’t imagine how hard it is being so young. God bless you

Ooh I definitely feel you. I started my own business early last year and pushed myself too much, by July I started flaring up consistently and even though the pain goes back to tolerable, brain fog remains. Working really hard to pace myself, which prevents flare ups but the downside is that I'm not able to grow my business as I can only do the bare minimum.

Thankyou so much for sharing💜 I used to feel so embarrassed about it (when i was a teenager) but more recently I've realised its just another form of help that I need sometimes!! Which is why i decided to mention it because I'm sure other people are struggling with it. Thankyou for helping normalise it for people who maybe don't feel comfortable talking about it yet!! 💜💜💜

Hi Elinor 💖it's lovely to see you back again! May I just say I love your hair colour! I have never done uni but I have friends that say how hard it is & how they struggle with mental health & finances! Anxiety & physical illness can really knock you for six,I have usher's syndrome type 3 & have struggled with sight & hearing problems! At night & poor light I have to use a long blind cane & I am in the profoundly deaf section in a hearing chart! So being in an almost silent world is not fun! Plus I found out I am on the autistic spectrum! So I do know what your going through! One of your last video's showed you getting your own wheelchair so I hope with your leg problems you are using it more! It's better to be safe than worry about what others think of you using a wheelchair! It took me ages to pluck up courage to use a blind cane 😢if ever you need someone to chat with or vent with please feel free to DM me on Instagram! You don't have to suffer in silence & I am glad people have been there for me & don't judge me 💖💖

Damn, the title and the first minutes hit hard... I'm in 3rd year of uni as well and had a lot of problems... Because I overworked. Tbh it was _very_ optimistic to do 2 Erasmus semesters... So I'm doing the second online from home, because no way I'll go back to hospital there... I hope you are better and find accomodations you need ! Sending love !

Currently in the midst of what seems to be a 5 week flare! triggered by a small cold but it is very nice to see you back and your videos help to make me feel slightly less alone! Also the anxiety is actually a symptom of ME/CFS it's caused by nervous system dysfunction which is also what causes the other symptoms of ME/CFS as well. I don't know if that's useful for you but I find sometimes knowing why things are happening to me can help a little x

Yes!! CFS is causing inflammation in the brain/nervous system. It's the brain on fire disease. It's also probably effecting the vagus nerve which is in control of so many organ systems like stomach and lungs and heart and temperature control. Most CFS people report their CFS came on after a viral infection (it could be any viral infection). My came on over 35 years ago after a bad flu virus. So really what we are dealing with is latent viral or bacterial of fungal issues or a combination of all of these things. Things to try or look into. 1. IVERMECTIN (this is a longer term treatment to bring down the viral and parasitic load) . It may take a couple of years to get rid of all the microbs that are hiding in your body.. I take Ivermectin and I know people with long haul Covid who are taking it with success and it's a VERY safe drug and safer than taking aspirin.. 2. DMG (Dimethyglycine) this a very safe supplement and it can do so many wonderful things. I take 500mg 3 times a day. 3.. NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine ) Good for the liver and heart and lungs. 3. Keep your carbs lower to keep blood sugar levels more stable under 100mg carbs a day is good. If you can eat organic that would be the best. You can add a good food based multivitamin and some extra zinc. I've been on Ivermectin for a year now and gradually improving and I added DMG a few weeks ago and this has helped with energy. Things are looking up. DMG can improve so many conditions and it's amazing that most people have never heard of it. Don't forget to detox . You can use Zeolite/charcoal a few days a week in the evening . I mix a scope in a glass of water and drink it down. Zeolite binds the heavy metals. Do some castor oil packs on your stomach and lymphatic brushing or massage and follow up with a nice warm shower . I take my shower sitting on a shower stool to conserve energy. Do your own research and God Bless.

I'm totally in the same boat right now, just not as bad yet. I'm trying really hard not to let it get to that point, and I'm so sorry you've been going through this. I finally got academic accommodations last week and was able to drop a class though, so things are looking up!

I’ve recently been diagnosed With ME/CFS. I’m going through this thing where by 5pm I’m utterly exhausted by 7:30/8pm my eyes can barley stay open, I go to bed and I can’t fall asleep my legs are restless and when I finally fall asleep I wake up every hour for the first 3hrs then I finally fall asleep for the night. I wake up and the same thing happens again. I normally nap around 2pm but I haven’t been able to sleep at that time. Could this be a flare? I’m 26 and Due to my other health issues, I have 13 medical conditions, many chronic, when I went to college I had to do it self paced from home because my health wouldn’t allow going to school even part time. I did high school through distant learning self paced as well. Not homeschooling my mom didn’t help me I had teachers that helped me and my courses were mailed to me.
