Hey man, 26 year old guy here just got my 4th steroid injection into l5/s1, nothing has ever helped me with relief more than a week. I am looking to potentially start PRP and stem cell injections if this latest one does not do the trick. After those I will probably be looking into getting this surgery. Thank you for posting.

hey Josh, i took the injection and it helped but it has been just a week patiently waiting to see if it will continue like this, but the issue is one Dr. told me that the cause was disk bulge another one told it was joint issue so not sure who is right or wrong

@@karangwa2315 of the steroid injections I’ve had 2 were into my facet joints. I got much less from those as far as pain relief. I’m still pain free as of now from the injection I mention above. What kind of shot did you get steroid or another kind? It bothers me psychologically bc I know the steroid does not actually fix the problem. I hope you feel better soon!

Question? Did the surgeon explain why a disc replacement or disc fusion wasn't performed in favor of a micro discectomy? Thanks!

Disc replacement is more often for people with degenerative disk disorder. Disc fusion is more of a last resort, so if there is a reoccurring disk herniated post surgery. At least that's how I understood it.

Toronto here... I am getting a NEW MRI soon, and am going to see if a Private Clinic in Montreal or U$ can do this for me.... WHERE do you live, WHERE did you get this Procedure done? I will have to pay for this out of pocket.

You need to check if you have shingles. This can be the causes of never damage ,

How are you now I'm 5 months in and pain getting up sitting down and standing around it begins to hurt I've done p.t. 20 times. Still worn down

After the surgery how long did you take to start work?I have sitting 8 hours job and I am worried if I go for surgery will I start working office work after one month?

Could you request a standing desk at your job?

I can't do a sitting job. It is what caused my problem in the 1st place. Get a motorized standing desk if you can work from home. Hopefully your job will accommodate you. Good luck 🤞
