I liked every topic you talked about so far because sometimes, it lets me learn about items that are in the family, so I feel better prepared when entering some of those markets. I'd enjoy a video talking about what variables affect one vs multi-generation collectibles. Besides something like "objective" historical value vs subjective nostalgia or pop cultural hype, I hope there's more to unpack there.

Regarding Hot Wheels, I understand where you are going, many of the mainline cars are mass produced, but what about limited variations such as the treasure hunts/super treasure hunts or RLC cars? Or even the chase M2 cars that are limited to 750? Do you see these growing in the future? I would love to see a video on this if you haven’t released one already

Great video! I've watched several others and enjoyed them all. Suggestion for a future topic: the dreaded taxes. Things such as the tax implications of selling collectibles (short vs long term), the "like-kind" exchange being eliminated for collectibles, other general info, etc.

I personally love uranium glass because of the sheer eye appeal. Certainly not an investment so I can scope out pieces at Thrift stores and yard sales for a buck each. Some fancier pieces still sell to collectors for a few bucks here and there but I feel like the chandeliers are the last of the "valuable" pieces.

Hi there, I think you mentioned in a video that original art is a stable market. Were you referring to any type of art or comic book original art. Comic original art appears to be high demand, looking solely at historical prices on sold pieces at Heritage. I would love to buy certain pieces, but they are so expensive..in the thousands. However, I feel spending such a significant amount will present little risk because you get to enjoy the piece and can sell it for similar, if not greater amount than what you paid. Thanks!

How do you feel about vintage musical instrument collecting? I've collected a number of vintage Gibson electric guitars from the iconic 50's and 60's instruments 15 years ago (still have them) and things have gotten so expensive. Do you think they are a long term type hold onto collectible or something that is going to see a downturn at some point?

It’s a niche market to say the least. Honestly, I’m not sure where the market is going to go for these kinds of items in the future. It is definitely an esoteric market which isn’t good for overall mass appeal, in my opinion.

@@ReservedInvestments your videos can be watched non visually and still be enjoyed. You talk with such confidence that you dont even need to edit your videos to the point you can talk for half a hour without haveing one jump cut and you already have the audio equipment. Even of you just take the audio from your videos and just upload those to any podcast platform would be great. I actually have a easier time to get people to check out a podcast then a video channel on KZbin nowadays.

In the 80’s we watched the Hunt brothers destroy the precise metals market and thus effected the coin market. Watched in the 90’s as baseball’s cards and comics Tanked because of speculators and the greed of the companies. We are seeing this again now with grading video games, comics, cards etc. this market will tank when the economy collapses again in the next two to three years. Legos, !magic cards, Pokémon are not an investment.paying for graded VHS tapes is the newest things. And from what I have seen is, it is a manipulated market. These vhs tapes are not selling for 10k. They are not it is dealers creating a market. Remember the Disney black diamond tapes? The current young generation like my grandkids. Well they just are not collecting anything. One does some Pokémon and football cards. Be he can not tell you anything about them. It’s all about smart phones and tablets. You are giving good advice. I had to learn the hard ways in the 80’s and 90’s.
