Glad to find a site with reviews by someone who also has the ability to play a musical instrument. I think that brings a somewhat different, and needed, perspective to iem reviews.

Nice, well done. Gives a good sense of the strength and weaknesses of the different iems.

I’ve got the OG WU’s ..a touch bright ( my S12’s are an overall improvement ) but better the quality of the recording the better overall performance…and yes they do have some rumble 👍..but it’s just a touch bright. Great video. 👍🍕☕️

Spot on reg C2...throw some balanced cable these like power and with moondrop spring tips...beats S12 for me. Though it has strong bass...these are surprisingly very open and clean due to great treble.

I really like the shell of the IE600. Had once the IE300. But even those were already much too bright for me at the top. But that seems to be a sennheiser house sound. The IE200 have a similar shape around the top. :-(
@dentReviews Жыл бұрын
I've always found this odd considering their hd series of headphones. you could argue the hd800 has a big peak but generally they are all fairly neutral. but their iems are never very neutral. the ie600 would be close if they tamed the low and high end...
@kairohde Жыл бұрын
@@dentReviews Yeah true. I was really hoping the IE200 would be something along those lines. But no.

I do live concerts monitoring, in venues from clubs to fests to arenas. I've replaced All Sennheiser and AKG iems In my roadcase, because they essentially suck when compared to Ci Fi iems one third their price. I have 200 pair in that road case, not one is Shure, Sennheiser, Akg, Futuresonics, Ultimate Ears, or any of the legacy units; they started out way too expensive and kept that up, while Japanese, Chinese, cos, etc, did innovative improvements for a decent price and now those legacy cos can't compete. A fact to consider, Harmon Cardin , the parent co of most of these brands, were bought out by Samsung!!!!!! Why do you think all the new Samsung phones are equipped with AKG buds and Sennheiser mics? Now what happens when you fire all the lifelong AKG engineers in Vienna and move the Co to Taiwan, the replace those lifelong engineers with new young engineers with probably no experience with that co. A phone co is now making microphones that are legacies in the recording business, and there is no way these new engineers have the knowledgeanc experienceoc the OG engineers. I won't purchase anything that was made after 2000( Samsung purchase was in 2017) for my use or my studio. There are soooo many much better options.

What is your advice for me, to upgrade C2 mw? Letshuoer S12, Tri l3 (planar+dd+ba), Kefine Klanar, Fh3, Hidizs Ms3? I want more stage and imaging for gaming+maybe more subbass and seperation. I hate sibilance(on Kz zsn pro...)

How do you think C2 compares to moondrop Lan?
@dentReviews Жыл бұрын
stock, i think the lan is leaner but cleaner. the c2 is more fun with a little bit more clarity and a lot more fullness and bass body. however, you can block the vents on lan and it becomes noticeably more bassy and balanced...

I disagree with your assessment on the Ie600. I find it near perfect for it's price range. There is nothing cheaper I would say is better. So they are not overpriced. I don't find them neutral at all. They are V shaped for sure.
@dentReviews Жыл бұрын
to each their own for sure. nothing wrong with that if you like it. but for me it doesn't do anything exceptionally well for the high price tag. the mh755 has an almost identical "overall" v shape response or tonal balance but i would argue smoother treble... you could buy like 20 of them for the price of an ie600. :-P that's what i base my price assessment on. general comparative value. but honestly, if a response and the iem design fits your likes and needs then price is very subjective. so enjoy it and who cares what anyone thinks. :-)

@@dentReviews Many cheap iems have good to great tonal balance. So when comes to iems above $100 then it becomes more about technicalities (details, imaging, soundstage, etc). I never heard an iem cheaper than the Ie600 with equal or better technicalities. Granted I didn't listen to all iems but I have listen to a hell of a lot. So I can be wrong. My initial impression (when it first came out) was that it was underpriced and no iem matched it for the price. Then later when Competition improved it is now about the right price. In another year from now then it will definitely be overpriced. With eq and such nowadays you can tune any iem to your liking but you can't too much improve on technicalities. So buy an iem that is close (doesn't have to match) to your tonal preference but has best technicalities for the price. Use eq (if necessary) after that.

There are many options that just kill the Sennheiser s for half the price. We do stage and studio, film monitoring, and we've replaced every Sennheiser, Shure, Ultimate Ears, Future Sonics, and other Legacy brands who have been overpriced since day one. We have 200 sets in our budget roadcase; I wou😮trade one of those for ie600. All of this came from feedback from clients.

@@thesonnytackettshow7949 There are 0 iems (half the price) that kill the ie600 FOR MUSIC. I have listened to the best iems $300 and under and didn't find anything that matched or exceeded. I know reviewers (who listened to hundreds of iems) say that the ie600 is the best dynamic driver iem they ever heard. Grant you, that was when they first came out. If you feel there is an iem for half the price that kills the ie600 IN MUSIC then name it. Either I've heard it before or I will (Guaranteed). All I do is buy iems. That's why I stay broke

Nah. I bought one in 2021. Warm and relaxing tuning but that's it. It is too warm, treble sound artificial and technicalities just meh. It is only as good as infamous current $20 iems and very easily replaced.
