I made boba before and realised good tasting boba from expensive shops are essentially 50% sugar. I mixed muscovado sugar with regular brown sugar. Molasses should work, too.

There's a famous boba drink called nuclear waste witch I think you should definitely try making just by the name😂 Here is the recipe i found on the net and transferred it into English: Ingredients: Green bean paste, grass jelly, Ovaltine, milk powder Instructions: 1. First, cut the grass jelly into strips and place them in a cup for later use, ensuring they are cut in a way that allows easy consumption with a straw or spoon. 2. Add green bean paste, milk powder, and Ovaltine into the cup in approximately a 5:1:1 ratio. 3. Stir well and enjoy with a straw or spoon.
