Good channel bro. I'm learning! I made 166000 in a single trade on paper trading account yesterday. And what's better is that it was based on a strategy I adapted from you. Low pip numbers, scalping and some secret sauce I won't mention here. But thank you. I'm turning it into an EA. I've only been learning for two months but due to your years of experience I feel I'm ready for a test.

Good stuff . .I like the graphic presentation and the philosophical simplicity.,,...,I'll look for more in future. Am more usually drawn to getting onto a move that is already underway, rather than looking for reversals...but of course that precludes many short-term possibilities. Useful descriptions you offer here....without the unnecessary tech-sounding vocab of so many other presentations. Much appreciated !

That's a good idea, figuring out what kind of candle would be made if two or more were combined, especially if you trade daily charts, because most charts don't have 2,3,4,5 or 6 day time frames, it goes from 1 day to 7.

Riley, pleasegive us a few more words on these reversal patterns. Namely, would you use these to scalp the SPX? I know you and Mike look at the two pull back pattern as your signal (which I can't seem to keep myself from thinking it's a 1-2-3 pattern). Would you use any of these patterns? Would you regard them as being as strong as the two pull back?

Hi Riley, thank you for sharing all of this with us! I am a complete beginner so here goes a possibly stupid question: what are predetermined support/resistance levels? :)
@wave83592 жыл бұрын
(I'd offer the suggestion that these are based on historical data that tend to indicate trends and parameters.)----support is simply where sellers no longer predominate----resistance is where buyers run out of optimism.......

Hello Riley, just watched few of these and they have been helpful. Thank you. What does the thickness, length, and the wick of the Candle represent (very new bee)?
@andyjacobs70104 жыл бұрын
The wick indicates the highest and lowest in the period. The thickness shows the start and end price. Whether the top or bottom is start or end depends on whether it is green or red. Red means the start price was over the end price, green means the price rose so the start price was lower.

@RileyColeman5 жыл бұрын
Not 100% sure what you are asking. But when I'm looking at a daily chart I zoom it in an out depending on how I see fit. If I want to see less data I maybe look at 3 months of daily data but sometimes ill also look at a years worth of daily data. Let me know if that helps.

Question. What would a bearish pin in a downtrend possibly signify? (Or vice versa bullish pin in an uptrend?). Thanks in advance your videos are awesome.
@RileyColeman5 жыл бұрын
Hey Ryan great question! If the pin is going in the downward direction with the trend it's showing that the market or stock attempted to make a reversal and it got rejected. So it signifies that people are still selling and pushing the stock down. Same goes for a bullish pin in an uptrend.

Interesting, good video. Question is how often you see this patterns, and even better question is how successful are this patterns ... I know that are not a very fair questions, since are somewhat subjective or borderline to many traders, I guess, but if you have to give a rough estimate of percentages to a good trader.

Riley, thanks for the easily understood explanations on this topic. One question, the width of the candle seems to be time related. Does it represent a trading day or some other period or event?
@RileyColeman5 жыл бұрын
Glad it was clear! A candle stick can actually be based on a lot of different things. Typically people have it based on time. A lot of my charts on my channel the charts are daily charts meaning each candle represents 1 day of the market. But you can have many different time frames where candles can represent 1 whole month or 1 minute. Just depends on what you want as a trader. Also candles can be based on other things. Some people like to have a candle based on volume so on those charts each candle can represent a certain number of shares being traded not on time.

I was thinking yesterday about the warning you always see with software. That 70% of retail traders loose money etc etc. I mean that's massively encouraging. The amount of idiots in the world I'm AMAZED that 30% of them are making money. Now that is below chance, but idiots find a way to loose more than chance all the time. So yeah. Maybe make a video on how they manage to loose below 50 50?

Your island bottom is faulty. ..yu show a red candle followed by a gap down with a green candle...that is a kicker signal and no way it would then put in 4 candles at the same bottom level...a kicker takes with another green candle higher than the first bottom green candle...don't say I am splitting hairs...take a look at your island top...the candles are in the right order...I callsuch a formation a guad due to 4 candles...that alternate in color ..Studied price action and rich analysis for 15 yrs
