Shoutout to LJ Scott for the recommendation. Thank you so much for your interest in this video. Who were some NFL players that you thought were underrated? Moreover, a quick note when I mentioned Donnell Woolford: growing up I always heard his name pronounced as, Duh- Nell Woolford. But I always want to make sure I pronounce names correctly; thus I saw a KZbin video where he introduced himself as Don-nell Woolford and therefore, I went with the pronunciation as Don-nell Woolford. Thank you so much and have a great day.

steelcurtain187, I hope all is well. Thanks for liking the Charlie Garner mention. I'm not the best at evaluating talent, but I always thought Garner had HOF talent. Thanks again, you're the best.

Nice list. How about a video for top fullbacks of the 90s. I miss seeing the fullbacks.

To begin, thanks for the kind words about the list. Secondly, you seem like an awesome old school football fan. I'm writing this when Jim Harbaugh got hired as the Chargers coach so you might be interested in seeing the Chargers run the ball. Originally, I was going to do an underrated list by position, and for the underrated fullback, my pick was Bob Christian. But fullbacks have it rough going full speed taking on a linebacker head on. If I had the talent, I could never be a fullback. I always liked those classic FBs like Lorenzo Neal and Sam Gash. Thanks again. Take care.

Good list. I love remembering old names of players and being like "oh yeah... I remember him" lol.

Thank you so much. I'm glad you like the list. By the way, I'm a Marquette basketball fan ( I like a lot of CBB teams ), but anyways, I'm interested in who you like more - Marquette or Wisconsin? And curious how you feel about Marquette basketball. Two more months and then the tourney. Take care Big Pasty.

@@90sSportsNostalgia I lean more towards UW but definitely cheer for Marquette as well. Any Wisconsin college really but definitely Wisconsin is tops for me.

Sam Cowart was a really nice pick. Great underrated linebacker. Another guy that comes to mind during the 90's is Marvcus Patton who played with the Bills, Redskins, and Chiefs. Never made a Pro Bowl, but was a stellar inside linebacker. Also liked Al Smith who played his entire career with the Oilers, and Bryan Cox whose best days came with the Dolphins.

Wow, those names you mentioned at LB are awesome. Al Smith. Great mention. I was a huge Lamar Lathon fan, but the Oilers had so much talent on that defense back in the 90s - Al Smith was definitely overshadowed with all of that talent. You got me wanting to go back and watch Oilers highlights on defense. Marvcus Patton, wow you are really digging deep with that name. I never expected to get a Marvcus Patton mention. I enjoyed Bryan Cox, he was an interesting player who was rough. Then he went to the Bears and to simply put it, it wasn't a good situation. But anyways, you got me thinking that maybe I should have mentioned Al Smith instead of Cowart. Great comment. I enjoyed seeing those names.

Idk if he’s the most underrated but one of my favorite players from the 90s is Natrone Means, 250lb RB who not only had power to break tackles but also had the speed to take it all the way to the house and score. He only had 1 season where he played and started all 16 games rushing for 1350yds and 12 TDs, but I remember him best for his playoff performances being the RB for 2 underdog teams that made playoff runs, 94 Chargers and 96 Jaguars. Without him idk if those teams make those playoff runs. Plus he had one of the best nicknames ever with Natrone Means Business lol

Natrone was awesome. Underrated is a tough term to define, but making a list of underrated players is interesting. But anyways, I thought Natrone had HOF talent with his size as his feet were amazing, and like you said, had the speed to take it to the house. But those two postseasons you mentioned, Natrone was awesome. Those 2 teams were fun to watch. I'm not best at evaluating talent, but a part of me always thought Means was better than Bettis, but Bettis lasted longer. Your comment is awesome, I enjoyed reading it. I made a video about Natrone Means, as it was one of my favorites to make. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching the video.

I used to love the way Natron Means played bro. The only other player I've seen that played and and kinda had the same Build was the Bus Jerome Bettis

Lol i also wanted to throw Chargers DB Gill Byrd and Chief's DB Dale Carter in the mix. Two really talented, 0:02 physical DBs. And explosive return men
@90sSportsNostalgia
@90sSportsNostalgia 7 ай бұрын
Gill Byrd, wow - to be honest, I thought so much about so many names, and I mean a plentiful amount of names came up. But Gill Byrd never came to mind for some reason. Great mention and mistake on my part. On the other hand, Dale Carter did come to mind. I had to narrow it down to players who never made more than 1 Pro Bowl to make it easier to make the list. But two great DB names. Thanks again.

Hey brother, you definitely should do another one of these. Being there were so many great underated players in the 90s. I got 5 of mine for u, ERIC METCALF was an explosive player. The first have of the 90s he was a hard running tailback in Cleveland on some very competitive Browns teams believe it or not. He was a fantastic punt returner. And the second half of the 90s he moved to wide receiver when he signed with Falcons and might have been an even better wide out. Another Falcon LB JESSE TUGGLE was a tackling machine. Saints LB VAUGHN JOHNSON was big, bad, and can really move. Often over looked because the Saints were so loaded at Linebacker in the early 90s. Last but not least Oilers DT Ray Childress, Buddy Ryan used to love this guy for a reason when he was there D coordinator. He was a BAD DUDE.

Thanks for checking out this video. Sorry with some of the rough edits because the Moss highlights are claimed. But I really like the names you mentioned. To begin, that surprised back in the day, when I saw Metcalf get over 100 catches one year in ATL because previously, I knew him as a returner and getting rushing attempts but he actually had more receptions than I realized in Cleveland. I'm a fan of Tuggle and Johnson. But nice mention of Ray Childress; there was so much talent on those Oilers' teams so it was easy to get overshadowed. Great names. Thank you so much. I really enjoyed reading your comment.

Video idea: patriots of the early 90s. Specifically, 1990-92. It's a site to behold

Thanks for the recommendation. I originally was going to do a Patriots in the 90s video, but then decided to just stick with the '94 Patriots. But the Pats from 90-92 was interesting, not fun for Pats fans, and they almost moved to St. Louis. I wrote your name down for the recommendation as I hope to get to it for next football season. Thanks again.

Vincent brown for the pats was a dominant force. He never made a pro bowl, but he led his team in tackles 5 times in his 8 year career. He was exactly there when you needed him

WOW, Vincent Brown. That is quite the name. I would have to give you the award for the most unexpected name. I kind of forgot about him. During those Patriot days, Chris Slade, Ted Johnson and Willie McGinest are the first LB names that come to mind for me as Vincent Brown is a name I should have remembered better. Great name and excellent comment with your reasoning. Thanks a lot for your comment.

What about Falcons safety Eugene Obinson?
@90sSportsNostalgia
@90sSportsNostalgia 7 ай бұрын
Yes, I totally agree that Eugene Robinson is underrated. I remember they had a poll ( I can't remember if it was with executives or players or something else), but anyways, Robinson was voted as the best safety in the NFL when he was with Seattle. Great name to mention.

Wished my Steelers had Woolford longer than a year at the end of career
@90sSportsNostalgia

Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching the video. I honestly barely remember Woolford with PIT. I recently had an immaculate grid with the Steelers and Bears and chose Tim Worley, but next time I get those two teams, I will see how rare Woolford is. Thanks again and enjoy the rest of the NFL playoffs.

Both of those guys were tough. I like those names you mentioned. I couldn't stand the Niners but both of those guys were really good and of course, Merton had that celebration that hurt my neck just watching it. Tim McDonald was really good. Thanks again and take care.

Is/was Napoleon Kauffman underrated?

Perhaps he was. He was fun to watch. I'm sure no one has a list close to mine as I'm interested in hearing what others think of who is underrated. I'm glad you mentioned Napoleon. I like hearing names like that from the past.
