For the last time per 36 stats are inefficient I can put up 2 points in 1 minute of playing time and my per 36 stats would be 72 points per game doesn’t mean I would average 72 points when given 36 minutes of playing time

I feel like "per. 36" numbers are inefficient when used in the wrong context, but per. 36's are an efficient an useful stat for role players that obviously don't play starter minutes. I see it as it more of a measure of how well a player is doing coming off your bench by showing you their production, if they played starter minutes. An example i'll use (since you used one of your own) is Derrick Rose: now, if you've been keeping up with the NBA you should know that Drose been ballin out his mind this season. His averages are about 19 (ppg) and 5 (ast) in about 30 minutes. Now, if u take his per. 36's, they're 23 (ppg) and 6 (ast). Again, if you've been keeping up, these numbers aren't too farfetched to imagine if he was the starter on that team (he's only started 11/ the twolves 33 games).
