I've got a pair of HomePod Minis that i bought for my TV viewing instead of a soundbar. It gives me stereo, sound source closer to the listener. One of the pods has the Mission base and gets moved to the kitchen so that I can hear the TV while preparing dinner without blasting away at an uncomfortable volume for anyone sitting in the TV room. The other Pod has the Bololo stand. I originally bought to elevate off of the table for the reasons you noted. I found with experimentation, that rotating the Pod so that the Pod's base (flat surface) faces me gives better clarity of highs. All sounds are not equal value in the 360 universe. Audiophile I'm not: just know my ears could tell a difference. Thanks for another great video.

I use several Aqara buttons. Instead of sticking them to a surface I use the Lutron pick remote stands. They fit nicely and and are portable.

Question! I’m wanting to get two HomePod minis for my living room setup and was wondering? 1st: how does volume work if you have it setup to Apple TV? Do you control it through Siri? Or does the controller do the volume? 2nd: if I have them setup as a stereo pair do they no longer function as a smart home device? Or do they still respond to “Siri turn on the lights.”
@AdamsTechLife Жыл бұрын
HomePod volume can be controlled from the apple tv remote and the speakers doesn't lose any smart home features, siri is still able to control lights, run scenes, etc. Thanks for watching! 😊

Very informative. Bought a mini on Tuesday and after listening for 15 minutes I went online and bought a second one (blue). I think a pair of stands is the way to go for my home theater setup.

Hi Adam! What router do you use? I was looking at Eero but they only provide wifi for up to 75 devices. Do thread devices like the homepod mini count against the 75 wifi limit?
@AdamsTechLife2 жыл бұрын
I use Eero 6 and I would say yes, anything connected to wifi counts as a device. If you have like Philips hue lights then only the hub would count as one device and not the lights since the lights to talk to the hub. But for thread, I would say it counts as a wifi device but I'm not exactly sure, I don't use thread device myself. Thanks for watching! 😊

Did the "thread" technology come in with the very 1st Gen of homepod minis? How can we verify this?
@AdamsTechLife2 жыл бұрын

With a Mission battery base, it can be wireless ;)
