I would use the house chest as a communal chest. One in each Biome to dump everything when you get full and then one inside the storage room. That way you can empty your inventory and then sort it all later in your house.

I recommend using the house chest to store flowers, when fully upgraded it can hold all the different flowers and more. If you were to use a normal chest, you’ll need about 3 different chests to store them all, which can cause confusion on which chest holds which particular flower.

That's a great idea too! I actually use the chests that I have placed next to the wells in each biome to store all of the specific flowers in that biome.

I just go to all of the chest that are full first and try to put everything in there. Any items that don't deposit obviously go in a different one. Doesn't take time and you don't have to pay attention.

I have a house chest at every well which are next to every stall to put extra things in that I want to store back at my house. I have a crafting room and have organized all materials in chest as they are listed in alphabetical order. All food in chest in kitchen separated by category. I have 2 chest by Moana boat with all fish in order alphabetically. I’m going to also add a regular chest next to each well/stall for flowers for each biome

A note about just throwing items on the floor too is it could block npcs from coming in your house if theres not enough free tiles inside and you havent upgraded anything yet. I was stuck on mickeys first quest about cooking for a bit because I couldnt get him to come into my house because the floor was covered. Great tips! Im going to go make a storage room right now! Love how you decorated the back too

Another way to use the home chest is as a courier of sorts. I have a regular chest and home chest in every biome, 2 extra chests by Moana's boat for general fish storage. I put biome specific items in the regular chest and stash other things in the home chest. I can then retrieve items when at the biome they go to, or my main storage at my home.

I use that chest for fish storage. The different biomes can spawn the same kind of fish so it can be hard to keep track of how many you have of what kind. So I place the chest in each biome and it makes that so much simpler. Especially also with collecting all the rare fish. Also, I have a chest next to Moana's boat, it's really nice.

The dark wood chest is referred to as an infinity chest. You can place them in Ang books and continually have anything you'd always need in it.I use mine for the flowers. So each bim, has a chest by the market and way shrine cause mine are all placed together then I harvest flowers and stuff them in the box.makes it easy to feeding the sunbirds.

I drop a shared storage chest next to goofy's stalls that way I can access my shared storage anywhere I go. Now the cheaper option is carrying one with you but I love to maximize all my space even down to one so I would rather pay the extra for all the chests.

I used the longer counter top ($584 per counter) in a 10x10 room. I have 5 at the back with my 10 storage chests in front. Then I kept the middle free and did 2 rows of 2 counters and 4 chests on both the right and left! This gives me 13 tables and 26 storage chests! At the front of the room I added a 1 counter, a stove and the shared storage chest on one side of the door. The other side has a work bench and a counter. (I decorated these counters so they're not functional, they're pretty hahaha) I use the shared storage as a dump. I have them in all the biomes and when I get full I dump into the shared storage chest, so when I go to my storage room I can easily grab and sort it. Means I can use my personal storage and the shared storage for this purpose and not have to go to my house as often hahaha 😅 I love seeing what everyone has done in regards to not only decorating, but storage etc. So many good ideas! 👌🏻

I placed one of the chests connected to home in each area of the map and one in my storage area. That way as I am gathering resources, I can dump them in the chests as I go and they'll be in the chest in my storage room when I get back home. Then I can empty/organize that into my storage chests.

I think the easiest way to do the chest without having to memorize too much is you have 3 chests for all your flowers you have 4 chests for your sticks rocks ores clay and sand 2 chests for your gems 1 chest for seeds 2 chests for the fish and that huge chest in your house is for all your food

Here's what you want to do: Use the house storage chest (the one that connects with eachother) as your drop off chest near wells. Then have one inside your house storage room. You can drop off things into it as you play, then once it's full you go home and stort everything out into house chests.

I have two storage rooms in my house, one storage area outside, and chests in each biome. One kitchen, a little decor and a chest for every veggie/2 veggies/fruits/herbs. I have many stacks of 50 at my point in the game that I am collecting for various reasons. The second room is storage for gems(by color), flowers(by biome), materials(softwood gets its own chest, etc.), and anything else. Outside my house is a smaller amount of chests for flowers, stone, wood, gems, etc. When I get a full stack of 50 I transfer it to the house chest, and then I have the house chest in each house room for easy sorting indoors when the house chest fills up. Next to the garden and the fishing boat, I have 2 chests. Again, stacks of 50 get transferred to the house chest. Next to each well is a house chest, I throw all herbs and fruit into the house chest to be sorted when home. Usually, once a gameplay session or once every other gameplay session I go inside my house and put away everything in the house chest to it's longer-term home. I hate having to go through loading screens to go inside and change rooms, so whatever I can do to avoid that I will!

I am doing something similar, I have my house chest in my main room and I drop everything collected in except food and flowers. When things get to 99 or 50 I store them in their dedicated chest in my first main store room. Then I have a second store room for food with wall to wall chests for storing food and fish... I colour coordinate the food and price coordinate my fish..my holding level is 150 to 200 per ingredient and I sell extras... or top back up to 200 if I've had a cooking spree. My flowers are in the third storage room( garden room/ pool and spa..lol) where I colour coordinate and store.

Hi, so I saw a previous comment that said the type of chests you used are no longer a thing. I crafted a small and a medium chest. Can these be put in my inventory? How? Does Scrooge sell them?

The only chests that can go in your inventory (in the furniture menu) with stuff inside is the infinity chest that is at the end of the video. The crafted chests can be put away but not with anything inside of them. You just remove the object like you do any furniture in the valley. Scrooge sells different items you can use as storage in his shop under the storage option when browsing furniture

Some of the items in the game wont go on tables at all for whatever reason but most should. Check the size of the space on tables. Some items require a specific table our counter or need two spaces instead of one.

Unfortunately we don’t get the chests in the shop. The only chest you can buy from Scrooge now is his safe and the chest that comes in your house when you start the game! The rest are only craftable.

That’s interesting! 🤔 if you go off the the little platform that on the left as soon as you enter the house, and expand the rooms you should have a door. If you have decorated inside the home, definitely try moving some objects around because they could be blocking the door. My fireplace was blocking a door

I don't understand. I've been putting my chests in the furniture inventory, and the only one I'm able to purchase is the chest that you can access your home storage in. Are you literally picking it up and carrying it with you or are you putting it away in funiture? If you're carrying them with you, how are you getting it in that inventory space?

So they don't allow you to buy the craftable storage chest from scrooge anymore unfortunately. So if you want those you have to get the resources and craft them. For the home storage chest, I leave one in my house and bought another from scrooge that I put in my inventory. I take it out to store stuff in it and put it back in after I am done

It’s totally safe to put chests anywhere in the valley! 👍🏼 And I would definitely say everything for sure but if you want to focus on a couple items, I would say iron and clay!

The chests that you craft at the crafting table can’t be bought at Scrooges store anymore unfortunately. You can only purchase the infinity chests or the safes from Scrooge now. You can craft them though as long as you have the resources

Never sell iron, gold, clay or anything like that. You can always sell shiny gems, and anything you grow. My fav things to grow for money are carrots, pumpkins, onions, okra, and canola.

So unfortunately with the Scar update you can’t buy the craftable chests anymore. The only chests you can buy are Scrooges safes and the infinity chest that came with your home 😭😭

Why not just open the cheats and see what you have inside instead of doing the crazy table thing. I mean it’s organized AF but it takes 2 seconds to open a chest

Softwood and rocks are practically an infinite respurce. Would not recommend purchasing chests, it's a waste of money.

Sure they are but you have to collect them every time you need them or they take up space in your personal inventory. If you store them in chests then you can access them from your crafting table at any time and you inventory stays clean.

I wasted so many resources making the tables for the storage room too small also *cries*. I hope we can someday get resources back from unwanted crafted items.

Yea me either! I did it as a test but duplicating it doesn’t serve any benefits so it’s better to just stick the original in your inventory I think!

The household storage chest was available to buy from the floor in Scrooge’s store for me, so I’m assuming (for now lol) that you are meant to use it and be able to move it around!

Yeah you shouldn't use your rooms in your house for your storage just do it outside you can clear a huge area outside and just make it dedicated to your storage That's what I did and you can have as much space as you want outside to places many storages as you want and to be honest I'm actually surprised I have not really seen videos about people talking about storage farming I call it refrigerator farming because I have all refrigerators as my storage is but yeah I'm surprised not many people are talking about it or doing videos about it it's actually a good idea and it came to my head last night when I was playing the game trying to figure out ways to get my money up fast and then it dawned on me when I was in Scrooge's shop that there's all these storages I could purchase from him and have delivered to me so I bought nothing but mad refrigerators I haven't even placed all mine yet but I have about 20 of them placed

@@OfficialDJTasawennateken I know this is an older comment but I think I may have an answer for you. The term “hack” used to be a word used in combination with “life” to make “lifehack” and that term was used to describe things that made life easier. So in this case I believe hack is being used as a ‘tip” or shortcut to make the game easier to navigate or make doing typical tasks a tad bit easier. They don’t mean it as if it’s an actual coding or gaming hack like a hacker or cracked switch, for example.
