I have been playing DDV for a while now so here are some tips and tricks i've picked up along the way!
What is Disney Dreamlight valley?
This is a brand-new game that is still in early release and available on multiple platforms including the switch! The game is very similar to other cosy games such as Animal Crossing New Horizons and Stardew Valley. There are plenty of things to do and some great quest lines with your favourite disney characters!

Tip 2 extra info: the dark wood vintage chest you can own multiple, but they all access the same inventory stored inside, so if you wanna store seeds by your gardens, you can have multiple and place at each garden

@Mathias Jenkins They changed it recently: New ones can't go outside anymore, they're indoor only now! If you have one outdoors already, it can stay outside, but new ones say indoor only.

I have a vintage chest in each biome and one in my house in my storage area, so I go around collecting resources and put them into the chest. Then I go back to my house and empty it into the smaller chest dedicated to it. Like gems go into the gem chest, flowers into their chests etc. Makes it great to be able to get resources from every biome without filling my backpack

The amount of times i sold something i thought i could just find if i were to ever need them, then for me to need loads of that item one quest later and not being able to find just enough (or having to do a lot of work for it) is sooooo frustrating, i’m glad to find out hoarding is not only okay but recommended 😂

Another great tip for maximizing a characters friendship. Granted I've got like 3 gardens with close to 800 plant slots... but I found that hanging with a character while you plant and water actually increases their friendship alot even if they're not set as their hang out bonus. Oddly enough Watering actually tends to give them more than planting and harvesting... why I actually hate it when it's raining and I'm trying to max out a character. Usually takes 2 runs of harvesting what's there, planting new ones, and watering them to max out a character.

From being a hoarder and collector I can tell that counting what I pick helps me :D It also gives an idea if something is hidden in smoke, ferns, stones,... Each zone spawns limited amounts of the things it has the potential to spawn: ✦ There are 10 max spawn slots for each spice/herb/extra of the zone ✦ There are 20 max flower spawn slots in each zone - 2 for the rarest ones which you can tell by the highest price in that biom From the price of the flower you can also calculate how many max can spawn in the zone... same price = same max amount ✦ There are 20 wood spawn slots - except for the Plaza and Meadow which have 15 soft wood spawns at max For the other zones - depending on the "level" of it - its a mix of wood types Forgotten Lands is the only one that spawns dark wood ✦ There are 6 rock spawn slots in each biom ✦ The beach spawns no wood nor spice but clam, scallop and oyster (the rare one) Try to at least grab the rare things in zone if you want to stack up on those :) Damn, I really do love this game - happy farming, stacking, decorating, and giggling my fellow valley wanderers - have a magical day, every day!⭐ P.S.: I'm at the point where a chest sits right by each of my fruit trees and bushes, same types grouped up :D

I have found that you can actually water your plants in a 4x2 area! You just have to stand in the middle of the 2 plants in the center and you can hit 4 wide! :D

I like to plant in an S pattern and it keeps the friend from blocking you while you harvest! Learned it has helped me so much and now I don't miss gold crops anymore 🥰

Purified night shard levels up characters way faster: approx 15 per level (,at level 8,9,10) less for earlier levels.

Thank you for this!!! I knew a lot of them, but the biggest tip that saved me was seeing your valley cleared out. I started removing a lot of the bushes and impractical items, and then realised I can move flowers from locked areas (like I've unlocked a biome but the second part needs my equipment upgraded to get through) I needed flowers and was able to get them from the other side of the river.

for those areas that are blocked until your upgrade your equipment, you can also move your well to the other side of the barricade and teleport there

For holes you can also just use the shovel again to fill them in which is what I was doing (like in Animal crossing) but the moving objects tip works if its a whole bunch of them to save time, so still solid tip. :'D Just got the game

For extra storage make all sizes color chest to keep extra things in, food, gems, plants etc. When you go to the stove or crafting desk all your items in your chests will be available for you to use. They don’t have to be on the person.

Idk if most people know this but if you hit a rock 3 times it’ll tell you if it’s a regular rock or the gems will become visible. So if I’m looking for gems I just hit it three times and itll either expose the gems or just keep releasing rocks or not releasing anything or whatever

In sunlit plateau chilli pepper is more profitable than soya beans. Chill earns 78 coins to soyas 69 and only takes 45 mins to grow as opposed to soyas 90 minutes. The efficiency outweighs the purchase cost.

Soya beans have a yield of 3; chillis only yield one. Profit per minute for chillis is around the 1.2 mark whereas the soya is 1.6!

Did you know if you dig a hole, if you go to dig into that same hole again it will fill it in. So dig, then hit dig again, and it'll be good as new

Hi, Emma! I don't know if you'll see this since this video is ten months old now, but I just now finally started playing DDV, and your tips are SO helpful!!! Thank you so much for this. This is only my third real game ever (following ACNH--first love!!!--and Fae Farm, which I loved but am already sort of over, sadly), and a lot of game-play mechanics that all you whippersnappers (haha) seem to figure out/know how to do right away don't come naturally to me, so I waste a lot of time trying to figure relatively easy things out. This was so, so, SO incredibly helpful. I am loving this game and wishing I would have started it back when I first got it when it first came out, but I had this idea I needed to finish my island first (still not done.) *sigh* Now I have found out that since I waited I missed a whole bunch of short-release extra content codes. :( Very sad about that. I did at least get the stuff from the Showcase yesterday. I do have a question, though, if you do see this: I bought the deluxe version, but in my inventory it only shows I got the Standard Founder's Pack. Is there something I'm missing? Was it a timed release and now it's too late? I can't seem to find anything about it. Thanks! And thanks again for all of your super helpful content!

Beginner tip!!!: Save every second!!!!!! I mean every second The autosave is very buggy. So make sure you save yourself I’ve read tons of people losing all their hard work because of the game crashing and they haven’t been saving I 100% recommend saving after you do anything!

NEVER TIME TRAVEL!!! I completed all my quest. Had about half the items available. I couldn't get the scroog store hack to work on ps5 so I time traveled! My game is now unplayable. Disney responded said I'd have to wait the time travel out. Which stupid me changed the year at 1st! Which means I couldn't play again til 7-7024 😮 Had to reset my game lol. So please don't time travel if u like ur kingdom

One slight change is not every character gives you a friendship bonus period I could not get a friendship Bonus with aerial or Ursula because they are stuck in the water

Just curious exactly how many trees are needed in a biome to get the max drop rate? Would really love to cut down the trees in the Forgotten Land biome since the dark wood is so hard to see.

I haven't actually figured that out; I have seen 4-5 trees recommended!

Just move the dark wood trees to an area that's easier for you. Try 10 and keep track

Make fruit salad instead I normally use apples or 2 berry’s and a lemon but it’s very changeable 3 of any fruit and one wheat

Technically you never have to eat anything you grow because anything you cook in Remy's mini game you can drop on the floor and it will stay there until you return

There's a spot to the right beside the pumpkin house. There's enough room there to dig out 99 holes if you just move a few trees. It's small time but gets the job done without getting rid of everything over there

Another thing you can do when you have dirt holes everywhere you don’t want, you can use the shovel on them again and it’ll turn back into the ground!

I know this vid is kinda old, but I just started playing it this week.. so it’s new to me 😝 So… the vintage chest, it’s not available in scrooges shop for me? I’m having a serious storage problem, I have stuff dropped all over my yard 😂 There’s the small chests I can make, but they don’t hold much, and don’t do what that other chest does. Do I have to be much farther along to unlock it?

So trees and villagers homes can be moved I see. Is there anything THAT can’t be removed.

I think pretty much anything can be moved.

You cannot delete rooms - so if you make a room in your house especially ground floor, be careful - you're stuck with it and an ugly door
