Never touch them, never play them, never look at them, never even think about them and you will be fine ...

Notice that these tips are for *vinyl* records. You got a styrene or shellac record? GO CRAZY!!!
@Records_N_Stuff28 күн бұрын
LOL I can relate because I mostly collect shellacs!
@Skradgee9 күн бұрын
Also, if you collect flexidiscs you can fold them up to save space since they’re bendable and they don’t warp. 😜

Also get outer sleeves and good inners so they stay static and dust free and that keeps the stylus clean
@donovan_nee10 күн бұрын
Have any good inner sleeve recommendations? Been trying to get se for a while, but been having a hard time.
@darthwarren459910 күн бұрын
@ vinyl style poly sleeves or mofi master sleeves. They are anti static and keep them dust free

Every DJ I know breaks almost all of these rules. But they would be able to mix and scratch without breaking these rules. Sometimes there are exceptions to the rules.

OCD much? NEVER drop the needle in the middle of a song. As long as the tonearm is gently lowered, the needle can be dropped anywhere. Use the cue lever, not just your hand.

You can start in the middle of a song. These guys are trynna make it seem like an elitist thing.

As long as your turntable is set up properly (i.e. tracking force is correct)

I know right. I immediately thought of all the times DJs drop the needle everywhere on the vinyl searching for the part they ant to play. That Tip is pure nonsense
@Pluralofvinylisvinyls20 сағат бұрын
@@DjJugendDJs are notorious for mishandling records. You *can* drop the stylus anywhere on the record but if you care about the longevity of your records you should only drop it in dead wax. Why would you want to start in the middle of a song anyways?

When I was taking my record of the the record player my finger slipped and touch the record by accident will it be ok
@lanelandry13Ай бұрын
Of course, it’s a lot of touching that’ll cause a problem. One of two slip ups won’t cause a problem at all.

How about never store your records directly above the turntable when they are bound to fall off at some point?
