When I checked the spell book in amazon, in the "Customers who viewed this item also viewed" section, I found all the other books you talked about in the video. You are quite an influencer, are'nt you? 😂

Hey Andrzej, thanks for the comment and question. So im afraid I cant give you an answer to that at the moment as I am away from that book at the moment and i cant remember off the top of my head about that section. Im really sorry its not a helpful answer at all! However when I am next in the same location as my copy I will ensure to find out and reply to this comment with more useful information! Sorry again!

Hi I am also getting Neil Symth's book, can you share what you learn from it? Is it worth the money?
@andrzejkurowski2293
@andrzejkurowski2293 3 жыл бұрын
@@babythedude It covers a wide range of topics, however mostly very basic things. I still learn things from this book but if I need deep dive inside specific topic, Udemy, KZbin, documentations and Stackoverflow are better choice. If you are beginner or intermediate android dev and can buy this book cheaply, or price isn't huge concern to You I think it is worth it. If price is too much don't buy it, you won't miss that much.

Thanks for recommendations. Can we use vim with android developement apart from the ideaVim plugin ?
@BenKadel
@BenKadel 4 жыл бұрын
Now that is the ultimate question! Short answer not really well. So ive been trying to dig into this and see if I could do android dev in vim as effectively as I do it in AS atm. The kotlin side of things is ok to set up and there is an LSP for kotlin so you can combine it with things like YouCompleteMe to get code completion and things like debugging are totally possible in vim using things like (i think its called) vebugger. So general android dev is possible, but its all the connection with resources (R) and the UI visualiser that is totally missing and personnally for me, due to the apps i work on having a very heavy lean on design and UI, this missing feature just kills vim as a viable Android dev IDE for me personnally so for me its always better to bring vim controls to AS instead. But yeh that is the REAL dream, of properly devving android from the terminal in Vim... If only such a world existed hahah

Now i am reading the linux command line by William Shotts. Thanks for these rewiev. I think that book is great and I didn't find some reviews about these book in russian KZbin . And for these reason i watch your rewiev. Thanks man. Thanks to you. So that book change my understanding of Linux. Some topics was so easy for me. But some great topics improved my understanding. And now i think If you want understanding Linux you must open this book read that and repeat and repeat the comands in this book. Some joks in this book help me continue reading that book because it heating my interest to read. P.S. maybe i have some mistakes in this comment. I don't have perfect English. It's not my first language.

I am almost certain that this guy has not read a single page from any of the books he is showing. They are all new with bogus bluetags placed inside them randomly.

Wait.... I'm supposed to read these things?!? With my eyes?!?!?!!! But they are massive and there are so many words in them!!!! I've honestly just been scrunching up each page, melting it down into a fine paste and then injecting it directly into my skull... And so far, so good, the only side effect is a weird charcoal taste every other day or so...

lol even if that were true, I would never purchase a book based on a single recommendation from someone I didn't know. If you look up any of these books, they are very well regarded. Do your research and make your own decision. In addition, you would be amazed at how well some people treat their books, they keep them in "like new" condition even if well-read. I, and I assume you, do not.
