Love that you showed the various cusines from the different vendors/regions of China. All the dishes look amazing and so delicious. I know where I'm going for breakfast lunch and dinner when I'm in the Big Apple.

Delicious classic dishes. Always love pork burger and crispy lace dumplings. Good to see Irene enjoying the day. I think she had fun.

Such a unique neighborhood, its like being in China. No tourists like you see in Manhattan's Chinatown.

Most definitely a missed opportunity for tourists.

Great food tour! That's such an amazing food hall! There's always something new to discover there. I've been to a couple of the spots that you ate at, but I'll definitely have to try the restaurant with the jianbing. That looked amazing!

I've made the pilgrimage 2-3 times. Great food, so much to try. Had takoyaki the first time there. And it's an amazing cultural experience too. Really all of Chinatown Flushing is interesting. One of the closest ways to feel like you're in an Asian country without leaving the US.

So true. Many of the menus in the restaurants are only written in Chinese. No tourists, a truly unique neighborhood.

I remember Main Street flushing when they had department stores like crazy Eddie that was a electronic store with only few Asian businesses now that place is beautiful around the block where the train is not so nice but main street is wonderful

Thats interesting. New Asian stores can potentially save a neighborhood from decaying. In other parts of America like St. Louis, Memphis, etc….those places have suffered population decline and have had a lot of neighborhoods turn into ghost towns. If new immigrant businesses moved in, it would have prevented many abandoned buildings.

I don't believe these venders serve tofu brain in this food court. If you exit the New World mall on Roosevelt Ave, turn left and cross Main street, still on Roosevelt. There is a Soybean Chan Flower Shop. He makes the best tofu flower.
