I love these activities but my almost 11 month old does not want to sit still long enough to do an activity. Or if she does, she wants to do it her way 🤣🤣🤣

Wow amazing video! Looking forward to try them out 🤩i have one question: i have a shelf with different activities separated (as described in your video about play room) but my one year old likes to bring them all out and mix and match as he pleases 😂 he dont bring any toys back and doesnt seem to understand the organization 😅he is my First Child and im new to Montessori. Is this what could be expected at this Aged or can i do anything to help him? I have 8 activities in the room plus books

Thank you, Johanna! I hope the activities go well. What you described is typical of a child that age. They're more focused on exploring and playing than they are keeping things organized. It sounds like you've already taken time to limit the amount of activities and create some order so all that's left is to model how to put the toys away when he's finished playing with them. Let him know when it's time to tidy up and then work together to put everything away. You may be the one to put most of it away for the next few months but this gives him a chance to learn that everything goes back to the shelf when he's finished. As he grows, he'll likely show more of an interest in tidying up. As adults, we often save tidying up for when the children are asleep or occupied with something else but it's helpful if the child gets a chance to be a part of it, even if they're just watching. I hope this helps! - Katie

Just a quick update! I countinued to put his toys and books back on the shelfs after each play. Showing him how and invinting him but not tellning or forcing him in any way. Today he returned one of his books all by him self to the bookshelf for the first time❤ i cried of course and felt sooo proud of him! He looked so happy whilst doing it aswell. Thank tou again for great advise.
