My brother is also an autistic child born in 1998, but as I am very small and my parents are uneducated we couldn't support him. I and my family thought that there was some disorder in his brain. Many of them said that he should be admitted to the hospital. One of the child specialist doctors said that for 2 years once his brain should be operated on and his nerves should be changed till he lives to become normal like other people. My parents got feared to do the operation and were not accepted to send for this therapy class because he is one and only son and 2 daughters. I came to know my brother is completely alright and this is not a disease while I am doing my b.ed all the symptoms I can relate to my brother. I explained this to my family in 2013. But I am feeling worried because why an awareness program like this was not there early. My brother passed away at 21 years old. We don't know the reason but suddenly it happened. I am worrying that we have failed to give enough support to my brother. This video certainly will be helpful for many parents to diagnose their child in the early stage and to give more support. Not hesitating to do like me and my family. Thank you ma'am

Thats the point of raising awareness and initiating acceptance ! Autism isnt anything negative! That is the whole point ! Motivation ndra per la false news spread panna mudiyaadhu ! If you are looking for one stop remedy ! Sorry its not available. All I can do as a SLP - Educator is to educate people about the condition ! If you are in for all hate comments ! I wish you peace and healing from previous experiences 🙏 I hope future has good things in store for you !

Can be because of varied reasons- Elders may tend to respond and listen to him patiently than peers do. It may (or may not) be related to some kind of bullying by peers - incase of any pronunciation errors etc. Generally peers tend to socialize with other verbally social peers, children with speech delays - because of their disadvantaged language development have the most probability to be left alone in a peer group

Assessing the child's current language levels and working as per that will help. Gradually inculcating group therapy sessions (once a week) will be largely beneficial - because an adult (therapist) will be monitoring and also stepping in and help him whenever needed. More exposure will improve his confidence. Social stories can also help.

Echolalia is just a sign, that the individual is picking up. If language develops, echolalia will fade off. Yes, improves with therapy
