I use press and seal on my table to protect it from polish, remover, and all sorts of spills while doing my nails. When I'm done I just roll it all up and throw it all away, nice and neat.

I thought of a great simple swag idea! The Maniology M in a simple gold keychain! Bonus points if it's rose gold coloured or even that pretty rainbow titanium you use for many items...

Everyone using a brush or qtip to clean oopsies around the nails. An orange stick dipped in acetone works better than either. I keep one soaking, the tip, in a jar, while I'm doing polish. Better control & harder pressure than a brush, and smaller surface than a qtip.

@@Maniology ... ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY. What are Kupuna Wahine (Tutu) for... My Kupuna Kāne was born in Hawaii and I didn't completely get the full O'Hana translation for everything but I tried to learn as much as I could. I got to learn some Hula but my most favorite was the bamboo poles. So long ago I don't remember what it's called. But it was similar to double dutch without the jump rope. Besides I completely understand what it's like trying to teach stamping art and techniques while trying to line up through the camera and wait how to answer all the questions. I wanted to know everything so I'm very happy to help answer others curiosity or make things easier. Because getting a great set of nails is supposed to be Zen and relaxing not 🚫 stressful. Love Maniology goodies. Gotta share the love... 💜‼️ So you're totally welcome. 🤗

I have a mat, but I love the idea of putting a trash bag under it. I can still get acetone on the TV tray and my husband got so mad at me after he had brought new ones. Do you have a Michael's in beautiful Hawaii? They have short bins that are a small square or a rectangle, they are perfect for sitting items in.

Thank you Thank you for this live!! I remember using a metal scraper! I just pulled it out of a box I had packed forever ago and put in storage! (Don't ask, I have no clue what I was thinking) I didn't like them and used my credit cards and debit cards- NOT on the reader strip side, though! I had a bunch of the RAZOR SHARP round tiny plates. But I had a single purple rubber mat that held the round plates safely. But only one plate at a time. Now my father was a steel worker for almost 30 years, I do know how to handle thin sheets of sharp steel 0o and the rubber holders were not really the safest for more than a few uses. HaHa! The whole nail tech world has come so far in the just the past 20ish years! (Not saying Maniology is that old, but you are one of the best! Please keep it real no matter how far you all go with this company! That is what helps set your company apart from everyone else! I'm going off into left field- Severe TBI sorry. I forgot where I was originally going with this so I am just going to post and smile :D I use to smear Vaseline around my finger tips around the nail for stamping and water marbling. Ooo that cuticle tape looks interesting.

I made my first maniology purchase last week and I've been binge-watching all your videos😂 Thank you so much for the tips and tricks. One question on your smudge-free top coats: I noticed that there are 2 on the website (one water-based and one "regular" with ethyl and butyl acetate as the main solvents), what are the pros and cons of each and in what situation would you use one and not the other? More specifically, does the "regular" smudge-free topcoat play well with quick-dry glossy topcoats containing toluene? Thank you (PS: the chemist in me can't help but say that acetone and alcohol are two completely different chemicals. Acetone is usually the stronger solvent for nail products, i.e. it dissolves things quicker and more completely, that's why we use acetone for removal/clean up. 100% acetone should be just pure acetone, and it shouldn't contain any alcohol)

Can you use stamping polish to paint your nails?
@Maniology Жыл бұрын
You can, our stamping polishes are dual-purpose so you can use them for stamping as well as a base color. Thanks!

I found that when I used the Smudge Free topcoat, when I used fast dry topcoat over it, it separated and made my mani look ghostly. Why would that be?
@Maniology Жыл бұрын
Oh no! Is this a temporary or a permanent look? We are aware of clouding that can happen when using certain top coats over metallics or powders, but it is only temporary until the clear dries completely. If you believe you need assistance with your product, please contact our Customer Support team at support@maniology.com.

Do we need smudge free top coat if we use gel polish ?

Good question! If you're using a gel top coat over stamping polish, then no you can skip the smudge free top coat.

Had acetine on my fingers and picked up the stamper. It now has cloudy fingerprints on the side
@Maniology Жыл бұрын
We recommend cleaning the stamper before use with some dish soap and water and air dry on a paper towel. You can clean between uses with just some tape, a lint roller, or our Sticky Stamper Station. Cleaning with acetone will wear out the clear material much faster! It's also unnecessary to clean the stamper with acetone. Thank you!

For real nails...I think it's important after you clean your nails with any type of polish remover or acetone expecially after removing glitter to wash your hands with soap and water n dry even around the cuticles with a towel, or cotton swab if you are using real nails. Even if your polish has vitamins it still is using a "remover" of some sort usually a portion of acetone even if a little and it's eats away n dries up your natural nails causing them to flake and peel. If you don't dry your nails well enough it can cause your mani to peel as well by having too much moisture underneath the polish. When I was younger I never use to thinking polish remover alone was best because it dries the nail for best application but in the long run my nails would break as I grow them long.

I question how good the maniology products are; because you guys stamp on plastic/fake nails, and not on real people. And all of you use gel polish on your nails. Why?
@jenniferwilliams7086 Жыл бұрын
Their products are great on real nails and on people. So I don't question there products AT ALL . THE PRODUCTS THEY HAVE ARE AMAZING ON FAKE AND REAL NAILS !!
@babss4428 Жыл бұрын
I would think they need to wear gel polish to extend the time between changes for them. They are testing new products, doing designs all the time and touching acetone more often than us just using the products. Which regular polish doesn’t stand a chance against acetone. I’m a beginner stamper, I wear gel polish but I have had success using stamping polish on my gel nails. My biggest tip so far is don’t press hard on the plates, to get a good pickup. Use a thick top coat that can glide more gently over the stamping polish to prevent smearing. Hope this helps, happy stamping.

I dont use fake nails only my natural nails and their products are wonderful..my manis last me a good week sometimes almost 2 weeks before showing minor wear on very free edge..
@caitlinprice1625 Жыл бұрын
I use gel polish as a base so I dont have to redo the whole nail if I mess up stamping. I just use a non actetone polish remover to get it off and redo. I also use a gel top coat once the regular polish is set so I dont ruin the work I put in ruined while stamp or designing other nails.

Teapotts, I’ve been using their products for 7 years, they are perfect on natural nails as well as gels. The ladies doing the lives are always working with acetone, so if they didn’t use gel, they would always have messed up nails. Many KZbin videos use tips or pop sticks, it’s easier while trying to film. Try before questioning its quality, they have a good product with tons of loyal followers.
