The best video I have found for ice breakers (hate that) for adults. So many are pitched at kids or corporates. I work with people in between. Thank you.

I just came back from a leadership conference in Ohio and once again used several of your exercises and they have NEVER failed me in my last 4+ years of using them! Headed to Wisconsin next week and looking forward to using more of these!

Psyched to hear about how it goes. Now if you REALLY want to supercharge the "connection before content" use this framework to craft a crispy clean and compelling intent statement for the exercise. Intention framework: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXycfIhvbMeDmck

Chad, this, as well as all your videos and materials, are incredibly helpful. We're often aware of the downfalls of attempting to connect people, but don't know the pathways to enhanced and effective engagement. I've used your materials for 5 years now, and am always grateful for your insights and ideas. A huge thank you for this video. We'll use this at an early October Conference.

Thanks Chad for the adult icebreakers. This week I used the phone one at a Wellness Planning for Life and Work event. We're so used to being asked to put away our phones as a part of 'housekeeping', when I asked them to take out their phone and see out a photo of when they were well, they all laughed 😊 People attending from work were so upset they couldn't join in as they didn't have their personal phone on them. Definitely one to have in ones toolbox 🤗

So fun to hear!! Mark that one down in the books...people were upset that they couldn't participate in an icebreaker/team building activity haha!
@spiritualhorticulturalist2 ай бұрын
@chad.littlefield I know!!!! It probably helped that I put up one of my own 'wellness' photos at the outset. Nothing like a bit of vulnerability!!! Then, someone shared a great story about an event they attended a year before. I got to see 'connection before content' in real time 🤗

Another great video! Using telephone teleportation today, and the rationale for using Connection Rituals with folx to assume risk. And, I love that a colleague who didn't know that I was already a "Chad Littlefield" groupie sent me this link with the prompt, "can we use some of this at our next meeting?"

@chad.littlefield4 ай бұрын
Awesome topic! Thanks for asking. You might super, super love this video as a start: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYevdmprd6-Vd9E And 100% yes...I'm working on a series of videos of great options to start meetings. And a previous client used to start every. single. meeting with a "word for the good." It was a beautiful open ended way to set a tone and culture of gratitude and looking out to "catch" people doing awesome things. As opposed to catching them in a blaming/fault finding sense.

I noticed for the question swap, you mention 12 - 20 people. Would this be effective for a smaller group? 7 for instance.
@chad.littlefield2 ай бұрын
Not really as well because one person is left waiting for significant time until another pair goes to switch. With under 12 people, I would suggest just getting into groups of 3 and each answering somebody else's question and taking 10-15 minutes to do so. That way there is space for follow-up questions.

Conceptually I love the photo one but a lot of people probably don’t want to scroll through their phone in front of others - especially not at the workplace ;)
@chad.littlefield4 ай бұрын
I thought this too...however...no need to scroll while somebody is looking. It has become so normal and common place to turn your phone screen around to share something with somebody. If your prompt is clear like "find a photo that has a great story behind it and share that one photo and story with a partner" ... this is a pretty/safe low risk ask. And just like any other activity or invitation, I think it is best practice to frame up "challenge by choice", so that nobody feels they HAVE to do anything.

Hey Chad, do you have the cards in other languages, Spanish by a chance?
@chad.littlefield3 ай бұрын
Indeed! Though I'll tell you that there was an issue between translation and design and several of the questions are poorly translated. Most are great though. You can find here: weand.me/product/we-connect-cards-spanish/ or on Amazon at www.amazon.com/dp/B09QQR9869
