theres 0 wrestling here in australia so i gota self train. Your vids are super helpful 👍 btw its "effective"
@predraggrujic22395 жыл бұрын
I've just googled "wrestling clubs australia" and there were like a 1000+ results. I thought the same about Serbia (where I'm from) and used it as an excuse to not train, saying there are no martial arts classes here at all, until I realized that my classmate is European vice-champion, and that his wrestling club is ~2km from our school and that it's free to join and that in the same gym we train in there are also bjj, mma and aikido classes. Even though I'm commuting 2+ hours a day from home to school and back, I stay the extra time to train, because it's worth it. If you really want to train wrestling, at least for that you can't use the unavailabiity factor as an excuse. It's a very widespread sport so it's very easy to find a gym or a hs club (most are free), so if you really wanna learn it, just join the one nearest to you or your school. You'll figure out in 2h of practice sparring more than you would in 100 hours of watching yt videos.

Predrag Grujic depends on the state also public transport and getting around in austrlia and getting to class on time is a problem when all public transport in Australia is fucked aswell as traffic. Also there is no funding into wrestling in Australia hence the lack of Australian Olympic wrestlers. Australia likes to fund running swimming cricket tennis and footy Aussie rules, so that’s why there are lack of combat sport gyms in Australia and are hard to find preety ridiculous considering our national icon is a kangaroo with boxing gloves on.

Nice to see SOMEONE teaching takedowns to BJJ folks. Because its one if the GLARING deficiencies that have existed from the start. Also throws. You think that a style that was derived from Judo would have retained SOME of the root technique. Im a wrestler and judoka for many years and I would LOVE TO SEE BJJ, Judo and wrestling integrating more. It would, of course, not be BJJ anymore but it would be more of a complete and wrap around style. Good work man. Great work.

I used that first takedown along with set-up the way you demonstrated it in my match tonight, I also used some of the advice that you give in one of your other videos. This is a good video. My goal is to win state. And I asked my coach to teach me the one where you absolutely cannot defend it. And I am in the process of learning that one.
