Hey guys, it's good to be back. Thanks for all the nice comments. Not gonna lie, 2020 has been one of the roughest years of my life. It's nice to have a small audience to come back to and encourage me to keep making content. I can't promise that my upload schedule will be that consistent or frequent but it's not going to be as dead as it was the last 8 months. I appreciate all of you!

Hey just saw this in my recommends and this was a great video! Just one thing I want to point out, and I can understand it if you don't research the Japanese games, but Awakening was not the first to do child units or casual mode for FE. The game before it, New Mystery, introduced casual mode though it was JP only. As for children that was done all the way back in Fire Emblem 4 Genealogy of the Holy War in 1996. But overall great video! Just wanted to point these facts out since I do a lot of FE research.

Great video, cant wait for your FF7 remake review whenever it comes out. As of my opinion on the game it was good although i am somewhat mixed about the ending.

So glad you're doing videos again! I personally could not drink the cool-aid for Persona 5 and I love Persona 3 and 4. It just didn't give me the same freedom that the previous games did, and Morgana is annoying as heck!

I get what you mean, my favorite Persona is 3 because of the dark gritty atmosphere that 4 loss a bit, but I still love 4 and golden even more. But I do feel that P5 lost a lot yes the world felt bigger and there was a bit more to do, but at the same time most social link in P5 felt flat and the story was OK. Anyway still a good game, but P5 just does not feel has great has P3-4.

So Spiderman, when are you going to do a review of Fire Emblem Awakening and talk about stuff you liked, stuff you didn’t like, stuff that needs improving and the characters you love and hate. Also, since you believe Final Fantasy X is overrated, what are your thoughts on Final Fantasy 9, its story, its gameplay and its characters?

good video, like how even if you are not fan of the game you still tell good point about them and it does not feel like pure hate for the sake of hate. for my list I would say only got 1 big title that is overrated and not a lot of people will feel the same, but it is : Zelda breath of the wild : in my opinion the game brought a lot to the table in term of how the overworld look and how the game is beautiful. But the world feel empty and feel like there is barely anything to do, the mini dungeon where fun at the start, but become repetitive after 5 min. The story dungeon are barely an upgrade and feel just like 1 big dungeon cut in 4 and the boss are so identical and have a bad look. There is not a lot of character in the game only the guardian worth mentioning and they appear for like a minute before disappearing forever. Zelda had kinda a nice story even if again there was not enough story for her, but you can only see her story by finding really obscure and hard to find specific location in a giant overworld with very little hint (example 2 photo had a green grassy view very hard to guess the exact spot since 50% of the world is green grassy view). Ganon feel like an after though how he did not have a line of dialogue and did not feel that menacing, I get how he destroy the world with his dark influence pushing his army of monster to attack hyrule, but I prefer a physical character with a background, a reason and a presence, the same problem appear with ganon in most recent thing prefer him in game like ocarina or a link to the past. In the end, I can see the appeal, but I just cannot get behind it.

Definitely. All these games have their merits. They just didn't work for me. And even though Breath of the Wild is one of my favorite Zelda games, I think most of your criticisms are totally valid and true. Particularly what you said about the main 4 dungeons. They really could have had more going on than what we ended up with.

God of War 2018 might be the most overrated, best game ever that I absolutely despise. I don’t dislike it, I hate it. But Final Fantasy X is awesome 😡

Great list. Loved the zero punctuation gag in the number 3 spot! A list of my most overrated games: Valkyria Chronicles - The gameplay is tedious and built around save-scumming, while the story is stuffed full of pointless subplots and irritating anime tropes which squander its potential (the characters are unoriginal, the villain is not intimidating in the slightest, and I very much preferred the game when it was being a WWII story rather than a generic JRPG story set in a WWII setting). Final Fantasy XII - Not only does the game overwhelm the player with in-universe terminology and tedious automated combat, but the characters are so bland, the levels so insufferably long, and the cutscenes so sparsely distributed that I eventually just lost interest in the story altogether. Devil May Cry (the series as a whole) - While the gameplay can be fun, I find that the games tend to overstay their welcome by being at least 12 hours apiece. Worse, the stories suffer from a complete lack of tension because the characters are not vulnerable to anything (there's always some kind of rare demon magic that has not been explained and which the characters get to use as a deus ex machina), and so it never feels as though anyone is in any sort of legitimate danger. Kingdom Hearts (the series overall) - The characters are flat and uninteresting, the cutscenes suffer from terrible editing, dialogue, and a general lack of music and/or atmosphere, the Disney worlds that you go to are basically just filler episodes with almost no impact on the plot at all, the tutorials do an abysmal job of teaching the player how any of the games' mechanics work, and the combat takes less effort to beat it than it does to enjoy it. This is all to say nothing of the actual plot, which has been retconned to death due to Nomura's obsession with shitty plot twists. (It leads me to wonder if he's really just M. Night Shyamalan in disguise...) FFVII Remake - The ending was enough to ruin the entire game for me (for reasons which are explained here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYrHnKV3j7yViq8 ). I'm currently in the process of making my own video detailing everything that is wrong with the ending (I've decided to put off my whole "what happened to Final Fantasy?" project for right now because the ending of Remake is more topical). It should be up in about two months provided that the editing process continues to go smoothly.

Kingdom Hearts should have been an honorable mention honestly. It's fine and all, but good lord is it a narrative nightmare. Nomura would hide important plot details in banana and tell you that you have to buy the banana if you want to understand the plot of the third sequel to a game he hasn't even made yet lmfao FF7 Remake definitely has enough detractors to prevent me from calling it overrated lol Definitely let me know when your project is done my dude. I'll plug it on everything I can.

Once gaming became mainstream the normies & hipsters started flooding in with their opinions. I remember when those same people considered you a nerd (in a derogatory way) for being a gamer... then they smelled money and attention so it became a trend. Now there will always be questionable ratings until we trick them into leaving. hehe
