Some may be able to pull it off but fitted looks (not skinny, but fitted) are the most flattering and give you such a nice, streamlined silhouette. I ll rock them smart pants this year. For anybody hesitant, just buy them, they are very similar to jeans. Get them cropped with socks for more versatility but if you re not comfortable just buy them full length, they re just as good, but can t be worn with hoodies the sa me way. Been there, done that, give them a try, i highly recommend them
