I find it interesting he said Metallique smells like an olive & pepper pizza. I grew up chewing on coins. (Bad habit, I know.) Needless to say, by the time I stopped, I’d grown very familiar with how nickels and dimes taste. Something about olives (especially black olives) taste metallic to me. This is the first time I’ve seen someone else make that association, just with smell instead of taste.

I completely agree about Hypnose. For me, the opening is SUPER nice, but the dry-down makes me feel like an old person. It's no offense to old people, but rather, it's simply not my age? Ylang in Gold also has potential but THAT one smells like glue to me...with flowers. And a beautiful bottle and sparkly liquid. I REALLY like Metallique! It's pretty and clean without smelling plain. It's very pretty. I have no idea where you are getting the pizza smell. 🤣 🤣 🤣 I'm smelling it on my coat right now and I do not get that.

My fiancé dislikes probably 75% of my collection lol. And he’s vocal about it. I wear all of my perfumes anyway though whether he likes them or not- if I like how something smells that’s all I care about! He doesn’t like any of my Narcisos, Pure Poison, Prada La Femme, Cloud, Libre, Versace Crystal Noir, Love Don’t Be Shy, Delina… I think his nose is just broken 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes! I love Hypnose! But men don't like it for some reason. I get tons of compliments when I wear it but mostly from other women. lol I still love it! and think it's a seductive classy sophisticated slightly spicy fragrance. Men never seem to like it at all for some reason!

I never really understood what cloying smelled like until I smelled Flower, and the longer it's on the worse it gets. BUT Hypnose is one of the most beautiful perfumes I've ever smelled, created by a legendary nose Sophia Grosjman. I only wear perfume that I love. I don't care about compliments because most people have crappy taste in food, clothing and perfume. You wear that perfume girl!

Flower by Kenzo is challenging. It’s cheap-powdery, and the fresher floral facets are so vegetal, it smells like cut flower stems. It goes pretty sour in the heat too. Maybe it does better in the cold, but we’ll never know because it’s marketed for spring/summer.

Quite the opposite happened to me. I blind bought ADP Colonia Oud and when I first tried it, to me it came accross as a dirty, moldy rose stuck in a book that hadn't seen any sort of light or fresh air since the War of 1812, doused with a ton of citrus to try and drown it out. And then she smelled it and went absolutely into "come hither" mode. 😏 Suffice to say that that one is exclusively reserved now for the bedroom activities. 😌

Oh, I totally agree re powdery scents and Hypnose. My ex used to buy me the same perfumes he bought his mum 🫣 Hypnose was one of them. I picked up on the red flag and ran for my life 🤣 For that reason I cannot smell Hypnose & also Pleasures by Estee Lauder.

My husband is so chill with fragrance. He never says anything negative about anything I wear … but … my 6 year old son is developing a nose and opinions! He hates coconut & cinnamon. He can also detect scents hours after I applied them. This morning he was like …. What smells like kombucha? It turns out it was the 2 sprays of Bvlgari The Bleu I had applied the night before! I was impressed that he recognized the tea note and made the association. I thought the scent was long gone. But now I feel weird about wearing some of my favourites because he loves to snuggle and he’s got a sensitive nose. Alas!

Hypnose smells like gloopy melted fruit, but I can understand the "glue" sentiment too. Santal 33 smells like pickles to me as well, so I think we have a similar nose. But hey! My husband and I have opposite approaches to fragrance. He couldn't care less about scents. He won't even notice I am wearing perfume until I ask him how I smell. I love how fragrance makes me feel, and scent memories give me all the feels. I tend to like mostly florals and gourmands, and his favorite smells on me are either freshies, or (and this is so weird) the smell of my sweat right after I work out, or (also weird) what I smell like after swimming in a pool. The highest compliment I have received (after I asked him and put my wrist by his nose) was that I sort of smell like a swimming pool. And because my mother has extreme allergies and migraines, and I also have migraines that are sometimes triggered by scent, if anyone outside my house gives me a compliment on what I smell like, I just start worrying that I am wearing too much scent and might be making someone else uncomfortable.

I hear you on Hypnose... I discovered it about 16 years ago, as a friend of mine wore it everyday and I LOVED it on her. In time, she turned out to be severely two-faced and mentally ill, yet I still craved the scent. About 6 years ago, I finally bought it and, I do like it, but out of ALL of the fragrances I own (about 100), Hypnose is the ONLY one that gives me a rash EVERY TIME I try to wear it! Even on clothes I react to it! I think she must have hexed it or something! Also, Santal 33 is astringent pine cone room cleaner and Ylang in Gold is banana and trash juice, that's right, I said it! I'm with Anthony on those two :)

Dolce and Gabbana light blue intense personally love this scent. I remember this scent being worn by my mentor Executive Chef in his white Chef's hat and white Chef uniform. It fits him very well. Oh no i love powdery im planning on getting kenzo next week i smelled bottle but not on skin i will spray on skin next time before i buy full bottle i like the uniqueness of bottle also . I dont like santal 33 either . Just not my thang . Metallique gives me a sweaty gym vybe and flowers thats what comes to mind. Its a no for me gold micallef is identical to vanilla fields why spend the money when i can get it for 18 bucks thats what comes to mind but its a good one . great video .

I don't have Santal 33, but I love sandalwood, and any sandalwood fragrance I try - from Bath & Body Works hand soap to Piano Santal to Santal Blush - my husband says smells "old" and "strong." 🙄
