5 Personalized Project with the xTool D1 Laser

This week we made 5 Practical Personalized Project with the Makeblock xTool D1 Desktop Laser. We personalized silicone rings, stainless steel necklaces, a rubber stamp, and acrylic tags by engraving them with the xTool laser. We also made a personalized wooden welcome sign using 1/8" birch plywood we cut using the laser. As a bonus project we made tumblers. Yes, this xTool D1 10 watt laser will cut 1/4" mdf wood.

Tempera paint on glass and clear acrylic. Dry moly or cold galvanized compound on stainless steel. The engraving is darker. It can even do mirrors.

The silicone bands are awesome but the sing was the best ! You can use LA Awesome to clean off your tumblers. It works very well.. thank you for the demo it just father cements that I'm going to get the xtool d1..

I just got my xtool d1 setup. How did you know how to set up the size of the project? Or does the xtool figure that out when it scans the frame? It’s weird to me that this machine didn’t really come with directions as far as how to use it. It had a great tutorial on how to assemble but then I found myself lost after that. I wish it would’ve walked me through at least a first project. Thank you for sharing a few projects. I’ll experiment with mine and hopefully I won’t burn down the house in the process 🤣

I do the tumblers but covering then with painters tape burn the pic. then paint it with a different color let it dry then remove the tape

Hi K & G. Would you recommend a small diode laser (xtool d1 pro 10w or 20w) for someone just starting out? I have a small garage shop with very little space and I'm just looking to supplement some income by making little things to sell at craft fairs and locally.

Hey Home and Hobby! If I were just starting out, I would get the xTool D1 Pro 20 watt with the air assist. Because I could cut 1/8" plywood and acrylic at a pretty good speed, but if I would do mainly engraving the 10 watt would work great. Thanks! ~garrett
