Team format is my favorite way to play. I got 3 other friends that play consistently with me so it’s perfect

I perfer Pokemon over MTG and YGO, but I envied MTG's formats that incorporate the deckbuilding aspect into the gameplay. That is so much better to do if given the option, especially going in like "Oh no I am lacking cards in my deck" and then, nope! here, have cards to use! Boardgame-ifing TCGs really makes them more casual, friendly and approachable in my eyes and would love to always have the option of making them better by getting "expantions" for them!

Honestly I want a format similar to like brawl/commander format or the card Battle Of Wits for Magic the Gathering because I very quickly run out of cards when I'm playing this tcg

its called U150 format, it doesn't seem like too many people play it but a friend and I are building decks to play with currently. Was hoping to hear more about it here

I play pokemon with just my friends, we have a format where there is no need to evolve pokemon, so for example you can just put a Tyranitar right away without having to evolve, we only reserve the evolution rule for V/Vmaxs/Stars/EXs. It's fun and can get quite competitive at times, would recommend it, super fun stuff, we prefer it over the standard format.

That changes deckbuilding, could be fun, will have to try it sometime!

@WoodyREC Yes, deck building is very different, you could be easily overwhelmed due to the strength you have right from the get go, but you have to remember your opponent is packing the same level of fire power so you really have to balance it out as much as possible i.e. attackers/support.

The variation of draft hands by buying a brand new booster pack is funny to me. I’m sure my kid would love to do it because I’ll just end up getting free packs of new cards
