Homeopathy is the way forward. I treat my cat with remedies since wasting so much money on vets and not getting an answer or cure, so i researched, did a course, got the remedies and the cat is so much better health now, only small cough once a day. From hardly being able to breathe at all, it's a miracle

That’s amazing! But if you use a remedy that is not treating “like with like,” it is not homeopathy and instead- traditional medicine. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homeopathy Homeopathy is a medical practice which seriously dilutes any medicine. It likely does not work! It is common to call home remedies homeopathy. But it is a misnomer!

Recently transplanted from GA/FL East Coast to N£ 0K. Am having such a hard time sourcing a good grade of Comfrey. Knew plenty back home, but medicinal medicines here, is almost non existent. Which is strange, being there are so many American Indian tribes around??? N0 0N£ local, sells, or knows anyone that sells/carries Comfrey plants! Most look @me as though I’m crazy, when asked. And, of course, there’s N0 local ‘herbal’ store, besides the ever abundant, MaryJane and the sparse stores that carry prepackaged products. Lemongrass, Lavender, Clove, Tea Tree oil, Lemon Balm, Geranium, and a few others make a great ‘NaturaI Mosquito oil/spray. Plantain (long leaf or broad leaf) infused in olive oil, w/a bit of beeswax, maxes a great sting, burn, bug bite salve.

I enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing! I live up in northern Canada, near Whitehorse Yukon. I love to forage for wild plants just outside our home. I have infused Arnica flowers & Dandelions mixed with some store bought Comfrey. I made a great pain relief salve & it works great! We have lots of wild strawberries, raspberries, blueberries & saskatoons too. So much that we can pick for free! The wild roses will be great for facial recipes, red clover for teas. LOVE this video! We have so much in common! former IT PM, holistic wellness & I realized 30 yrs ago I don’t have a good relationship with alcohol. I switched about 7 years to natural holistic wellness, including organic food & products and haven’t been ill. I also love sharing what a difference it’s made to my health. I love making DIY natural. My goal this year was to make medicinal tinctures & teas! Your video will help me get started! I have ashwagandha, calendula, roselle, ginger, thyme, oregano, lemon balm in my garden. Not enough tho so need tips to grow an abundance. I also thought if I dried the flowers (ashwagandha I believe I harvest roots in fall) I have to use dehydrator? I heard you don’t want to dry out to avoid mold? And pls tell me how to use roselle I have some fruit on the plant, I believe after it flowers u can use? I’m so looking forward to your upcoming videos and learning more 😁. Thank u so much for sharing this info!

Some flowers/roots/herbs don’t air dried well but some do so it’s kind of hit or miss. All the flowers in the video I air dried but herbs and roots I normally dehydrate to avoid molding. For the roselle, once the flower drops off, wait 1-2 weeks to harvest the calyx (base). Peel the outside off and lay it out to dry. It’s so good in tea and deserts. So good
@JaneMills14

I have always heard that you should use fresh flowers/plants, not dried, when making tinctures. but you said you dry yours. Just curious.
@HomegrownFloridaZ9a
@HomegrownFloridaZ9a Ай бұрын
Mine were air dried so that’s usually better than dehydrated. It also reduces the possibility of mold because fresh has more water content. It’s a trade off between maximum nutrition versus reducing the possibility of mold. I live in a very humid climate so limiting the moisture is more important than a small amount of nutrient loss for me. Either way works though.
@JaneMills14
@JaneMills14 Ай бұрын
If you were doing an oil infusion I know that you need to use dried. But using alcohol, alcohol is a water-based so there is no chance of mold. The alcohol already has a water content and the alcohol will keep it from spoiling.
@HomegrownFloridaZ9a
@HomegrownFloridaZ9a Ай бұрын
@@JaneMills14true but the added water in the fresh herbs can impact your alcohol to water content which can impact its ability to store or its level of potency. But you can totally do fresh if you prefer. I’ve done both ways and didn’t really notice a difference in the results.
