Great video. I have it saved in my playlist and revisit it from time to time as a refresher. I wonder why no one mentions that when not using timed finishing you can power your shot first and then press the trigger button(s) that you feel necessary. It changes up the 'timing' of the shot. When you curve the left analog stick 90 degrees upon hitting the O power up, the animation holds the release of the kick and then you pop it at the end with R1, and it gives a delayed timing throwing off the keeper. I always find classic goal scoring more rewarding than timed finishing, but then again I'm playing the AI mostly.

I usually do a finesse shot in fifa 23 so you hold r1 as well as shoot but you have to hold them both for a perfect amount of time so that it doesn't go over the bar and you don't make yourself look like kepa

Going to try your new tactics video (Dec 15 today) and try to introduce some discipline to my game. I'm Div 5...struggling this year, essentially against Constant Pressure, Haaland, and the Saudi Goggles Hero. Can't tell you how many times I've lost a game where I had the lead. It's such a mental game this year for me...where I can look back after a loss or a win and know, ...I was or wasn't able to stay composed and act on the gameplay...vs my thoughts becoming scattered. Hey man. If you keep losing when taking the lead, try making a more defensive setup team sheet and switch to it after you score if you feel like your opponent will hit back. Make a super defensive one, defensive, attacking and super attacking team sheet so you can alternate between them depending on the situation

Through Balls (Tip 1): Use driven lobbed through balls (L1 + R1 + Triangle) for high accuracy and effectiveness. Timing is crucial-use the L1 button to trigger runs before executing the through ball. First-time through balls (hitting the ball immediately) are even more effective and can catch opponents off guard. Long Shots (Tip 2): Travella Shot: Performed by holding L2 + Circle, effective from angled positions (outside of the foot shot). Power Shot: Performed by pressing L1 + R1 + Circle, used when directly in front of the goal with space to power up the shot. R1 Dribbling (Tip 3): R1 dribbling helps create space in tight situations by allowing players to move efficiently while keeping control. Particularly useful in the final third to generate shooting or passing opportunities. Second Man Press (Tip 4): Use the second man press (holding R1) to apply pressure while manually marking another player. Must be used strategically, not constantly, to avoid pulling players out of position. Skill Moves (Tip 5): Learning and mastering a few key skill moves will significantly enhance gameplay. Summary: 1) Use lobbed driven through pass. LB + RB + Y. Tap L1 to trigger the attacker's run. Pass first time to make it more effective. 2) Long Shots: Trivela (LT + B) and Power Shot (LB + RB + B). Trivela best performed from a wide angle. Power shot best performed infront of goal. 3) R1 Dribbling (strafe): Best used in the attacking third. Use it to create space for the next pass. 4) Second Man Press: Don't use it the whole time. Use it to keep pressure on the ball whilst tracking an attacker's run (ex. marking player run in middle while putting pressure on opposition with ball on wing). Have the next player switch indicator on. 5) Skill Moves: Use skills in the final third. Use skills whilst walking or stopped. Use skills to become unpredictable.

With the R1 defending I try to create a trap, have my cpu running at him from the left for example and naturally the opposition will want to turn right to get away but that’s where my manual player will be waiting. Even if he sees through that the constant pressure from the cpu will trigger a mistake from the opponent making clear up easier

try doing this with lower rating player or non-meta player. the game assist the meta players for perfect passes/shots, dribbling, runs etc.
