The batteries are actually in an H shape placed underneath all seats giveng a near 50/50 weight distribution with no loss of cabin space. it's a massive "pro" of this car.

I had the new Corsa petrol prior to getting the ‘e’ and am delighted with it, no issues with getting in the front and I’m over 6’. The headlights are brilliant as you say and for a small car that primarily is designed for shorter journeys or commutes I think it is excellent. My only gripe is the centre display could have been bigger with more functionality.

The other pro are the switches for basic things like heating controls, not hidden away on a touch screen. Inside and out I think it looks better than the Peugeot, no massive grill or stuck on touch screen. Thanks for the tip about phase 3, possibly a difference between UK and European specs

3-phase: this tidbit was new to me, too, and I've seen quite a few vids - but luckily, most public charging points are 11kW/22kW around here (BE). Very important to know this limitation if you're in the market for a wallbox at home though! E.g. skip the 7kW ones.

I’ve just bought my first EV: the Corsa-e elite Nav. I’m brand new to the EV world and my previous car was a 3 door 1.4 corsa sxi (2011 model) which was so slow . However this corsa-e is extremely nippy. I drive BMW 330d’s at work and can honestly say they pick up speed as quick as them. Secondly the doors being small are not an issue for me either. It’s now easier for my passengers to get into the corsa-e as they are now not climbing into my car between the seats. I know a few reviews have mentioned it being heavy and having some roll around corners. I can’t say that I’ve experienced that. To me it feels like a solid car that’s sticking to the roads. So far I’m very impressed, however like every EV they need to be cheaper to appeal to the masses.

Hello Rebecca and welcome to the channel! If you haven't already please consider clicking subscribe. I personally didn't notice too much roll on the car i thought it was quite well planted for a car in this class so totally agree with you.

If you look behind that cutout on the lower bumper (that you describe as a blank adaptive cruise device) you will see that there is a device behind it even though the car doesn't have adaptive cruise. Im fairly sure the emergency breaking uses that and the camera. I have the corsa-e elite without adaptive cruise and there does appear to be a radar behind that plate.
@andyfraser58764 жыл бұрын
I agree that the lack of adaptive cruise is disappointing after all early reviews mentioned it as a feature. Even the Vauxhall configurator states "Cruise control with speed limiter and intelligent speed adaptation".

This is I'd say the best electric car under £30k, looks great, drives great, great range, okay price considering it is electric etc. I'm in 2 minds. This and not having to pay tax or to charge or a fiesta ST which I would but it'd be more fun. Gonna have a test of both, depends for me how fun the Corsa can be

Great video, as ever. I'd be interested to hear from owners what the visibility is like, particularly when the sun visor is down? A big plus over the Zoe for me is the inclusion of side-impact air bags. The lack of that one safety feature put me off the Zoe ZE50 (but let me know if I'm wrong).
@andyfraser58764 жыл бұрын
As I understand it, if you opt for the 11kW 3-phase charging, it will still charge at 7kW single phase. But having said that, it's a very expensive option and doesn't make financial sense in the UK where most homes are single phase.

I'm considering buying one of these. What annoys me the most is that the Corsa-e trim levels stop one short of the highest petrol trim levels... The regular petrol has an Ultimate trim that does get ACC, massaging electric seats, blind spot monitoring and lane keeping assist whilst the Corsa-e misses out on all of those as it only goes up to Elite Premium. Disappointing.

I hope nobody gets to thinking of vandalising it with a cream egg as they do at Chargers, Likely they are opening it to check if it is an Electric Car. @@NicolasRaimo I come from many years with electric cars, daily driver now is a Model 3 performance. We bought the Corsa-e because of it s very good buildquality, it has THREE very important things as standard that you DONT get from other manufactures, NR 1-Active batterymanagement, NR 2-Heatpump and NR 3- ACC...Usually you get this in much more expensive models or electric cars. So what PSA has delivered here is actually amazing for the buck!! Oh, almost forgot....a working and reliable app for preheating in the deep freezing winterclimate we have here in Norway. Good luck with that all other manufactures. Only other electric car I owned with a working app is Tesla....This is something VAG have never understood or got it right...Sadly consumers dont realise this before the have to use it. And then the manufacture excuses itself with server problems or sw issues...had an e-golf for 2 years with this problem. VAG never solved it....for TWO years....and still havent got it fixed, 6 years later. They know cars but not sw or IT for electric cars. Sad story!
