Bridges is a BIG one for me. We should be able to build everything we see in other villages. Also, the Inventory System. If you have it in storage, it should be treated as you having it. At least if the workstation storage is stocked, you should be able to use the workstation as if you had the mats in your backpack. Enshrouded made the same mistake, and at this point in the genre, it should work better.
@survivalgameguide9 ай бұрын
I think you're suggesting universal storage, right? Where even if an item is in a storage chest, you should be able to access it if you're crafting elsewhere even if it's not in your inventory. I completely agree with that. I've gotten spoiled with games that use that mechanic, and I do wish it'd become the new standard for survival games or games that rely heavily on crafting. Great suggestions!!
@wastedwatts8 ай бұрын
I can see how handy that would be, instant access to anything anywhere, but that would be like a magic bag of holding. Is that what you think this game needs - magic?
@survivalgameguide8 ай бұрын
Since MD tends to lean toward realism over magic, I doubt this is a system we'll ever see. As efficient and nice as it would be! Hahaha.@@wastedwatts

Villagers do have the option so... They can also make it an option in the difficulty customization. Or they could improve the villagers management (need to manage their inventory for food, water, clothes etc...)@@survivalgameguide
@James_Bee4 ай бұрын
Enshrouded does let you craft with the materials in storage. I believe it's limited to being within your base, but that's where 90% of crafting takes place. I'm okay with MD allowing you to craft if the materials are at the very least in the storage chest of the crafting building, though it would require larger capacity for places like the smithy where ores and bars weigh a LOT.

I would like to see better player paths (could be part of the bridge building). Also, I would like to see villagers use player paths and roads.
@survivalgameguide9 ай бұрын
Love this idea!! It'd be so nice to have different types of roads/paths, I agree! AND YES. Villagers should totally be able to recognize a path and use it! Amazing suggestion!
@wldchrstphr19 ай бұрын
@survivalgameguide It should start with gravel. Only we should need to build the path with the shovel, and building it should smooth out the terrain some. Next, using a hammer and planks. With steep enough vertical changing the path to stairs. Lastly, a stone road. This will need to be expensive, but it should look really good. If they added a cart that could be equipped to a mount, they could use this to slowly damage player roads along with a time decay. This would push players to use better materials for well traveled roads and get to the almost invulnerable stone road.
@survivalgameguide9 ай бұрын
Ooo. I love how in-depth it is! I mean, I'm all for more endgame content that involves maintenance, and I think this system would do well for that!@@wldchrstphr1

It is true the game has a lot of symbols and icons to learn about, but once you get the hang of it, they do help a lot to understand what is happening, or needs to happen. As to roads and traffic effects, it is rare to actually see some traffic in game play. If there was traffic to observe, it would make sense the roads would change due to how much and what kind of traffic was normal.
@survivalgameguide8 ай бұрын
Absolutely! Beginners will likely wonder what the heck each icon means, but they'll pick it up eventually. Would definitely love to see some traffic on the roads though!

I'm pretty sure they are planning on years of updates. Two million sales today and a promise of updates for quite awhile. I would like to see potions and arrows allowed on quick equip keys.
@kevinconrad61564 ай бұрын
I've been playing since a few months in early access and there were always roads. I think bridges will be coming within a year, they usually update the road map when they issue major updates and one is coming soon.

I hope they do!! I'd love to see more content!

Interesting list, good picks all around as well... Seasonal management could also work for planning crop rotation on farming, as well as fine tuning production for firewood/mead depending on beehive production per season as opposed to constant guesswork. I would also suggest an overall stockpile/consumption index as opposed to having to check individual buildings for production balance. Alternatively to set a limit of individual goods to warehouses/granaries so you don't overflow one at the detriment of another. percentages could work as well.
@survivalgameguide9 ай бұрын
Amazing ideas! And I absolutely agree about the seasonal management for farming. As a big farmer player, that would make running farms SOO much nicer!

The buildings are primitive, but the waddle walls seem to be solid and I was expecting to be able to see sunlight through them and during winter, or storms, my avatar should feel the effects of drafty walls. Part of the reason I was surprised he couldn't add clay, or mud to the waddle for a very long time after being able to be a "Handyman". As if the game wasn't busy enough, LOL.

I was surprised the sunlight didn't creep through the all sticks either!!

Handcarts that carry 120kg of cargo, Bridges, streams, alternate road and stone wall types. ability to add lighting to production buildings interiors. lots of combat improvements. more endgame stuff ability to set fields to plant different crops each season. more types of walls, a manor house, ability to make your own kingdom and rebel aginst the king or become the king and recruit knights/guards. etc etc. more bandit combat and strongholds, guard towers and better walls. more gates and fences. raids against your village by bandits with a difficulty slider that you can tune... More weather/temperature/poison damage damage more maps saw/grain waterwheel mill so much stuff could be done or added. the game is so cool and could be supported for ages

Well since bridges is included then content wise I've always felt that this game needs some form of terraforming. It always bugs me how the terrain is often uneven in some places, sometimes to the extent that you can't build in that area (often times it looks like you could but you still can't). It would also unlock so many more build locations in the game where you could even up areas that are currently too hilly. However I'm not a developer and I understand it's possible that it may be quite difficult to add that feature when maps are already created but I think if there's a will there's a way
@survivalgameguide8 ай бұрын
Ooo. I never thought of terraforming!! That would be so great to have because you're exactly right! The terrain can get a little goofy at times. Great idea!
@wastedwatts8 ай бұрын
So true! As I recall, the last game I played that allowed terrain adjustment, as in terraforming was Stronghold 2, but only while making a map to play.

Another quality of life thing would be the ability to create furniture inside the houses. For example, it's ridiculous that a mother has to stand up holding a baby for two years. Also, a tool to make it much easier to place objects on tables, shelves and such.

Omg. Your comment made me laugh because you're so right! They do just stand there for two years! Poor moms! I agree with all this!

When picking up stones, you first get to pick up every herb and stick in the vicinity, before being able to grab the stone. That should be fixed
@survivalgameguide9 ай бұрын
I know exactly what you're talking about!! The sticks/herbs are always on top of the stones. I def think it'd be nice to make their collision a bit more defined, so we didn't have to pick up the whole area just to pick up a darn stone! Hahaha. Completely agree!
@wastedwatts8 ай бұрын
Hmmm ... I don't seem to be having this problem. I do have to move the dot around a bit to see what I am going to be picking up, but once I get the display on what I am grabbing, I don't have to first clean the area of every other object. The mid screen dot doesn't always center on what I want to grab, which seems to need adjustment.
@alspezial27478 ай бұрын
@wastedwatts its mostly possible to find a spot to pick up the stone, but it is definitely not like you point at the stone and can grab it.
@wastedwatts8 ай бұрын
I understand your point, but it is also true you can center the screen dot on most stones that are in the clear and grab it without issue. It is just sometimes, more often than many care for, you have sticks, or something else to pick up first. @@alspezial2747

just started playing the game yesterday, I love it so far, fun with friends. but yuo can't build bridges? wtf.

I knowww. It's like the #1 gripe, I swear. It wouldn't be so bad if walking in water didn't take forever, but man. Here's hoping we can eventually build bridges!!

Bridges would be nice, but I am still waiting for docks and boats. Even a raft or two would be nice, but I would bet the programming would be a bit much and could make some older computers unable to handle the game.
