You made me lol on the threading of eyebrows. I had a flt delay from Seattle to San Diego so I decided to get my brows threaded, it hurt so badly that I was sliding out of the chair. I'm 52 and never had a "fashion sense". Growing up as a PK, as long as you were bathed and neat, clothes didn't really matter unless it was Sunday. Now after 20 years of marriage drawing to a close and 3 kids and a high stress government job, I struggle and my best dressed day is still Sunday. But I LOVE that dress!!!❤❤❤Most dresses like that are to long for me (I'm less that 5"3).

I knew that was Farm Rio the minute I tuned in -- love it! What a pattern. That will make every head turn when you wear it, Angela. I thought the black and white shoes with it would be perfect, too. And those glasses! I love the last three, especially the striped red ones. I am not adventurous enough, I can see! Meanwhile, those Khoi earrings elevate every outfit, wow. I'm over 50 as well and a grandmother, and I love dressing up, being fresh and contemporary. I am not going to fossilize too soon and this helped remind me. Hugs! 😘😘

I love your alteration ideas for the dress. I’m a petite, plus size woman. It’s challenging to find dresses that aren’t too long waisted . I always use a brow pencil daily, it makes such a big difference in my look. I also get eye lash extensions done for special occasions and few times a year (they last for 3-4 weeks and only cost $30 at the local specialty eye beauty salon) I love to wear maxi dresses, I always feel beautiful and myself in them, even for casual wear.❤❤❤

I’m also a petite hourglass curvy plus size woman. Nothing ever fits. If it fits in the hips, the waist is at least 4 inches too big. The nape of the neck to waist measurement is always two inches too long. The sleeves always fall too long. There are two courses of action: pull out your sewing basket and sewing machine and do the alterations yourself; find a good seamstress, preferably one who is NOT a native English speaker. Americans are no longer interesting in sewing but ladies from other countries still value that skill and many can just look at you and know how to hook you up. Lastly, whenever possible buy cropped jackets. They will end at your waist instead of making you look like your wearing a Zoot suit from the 1940s.
