I love how you do a shot of all the ingredients before you dump them. It makes a huge difference in gaining my interest to cook the meal. Other dump/go crockpot youtubers don't do that. Nice job!

I tried all of the above recipes and our favorite was the Chicken Noodle Soup and second favorite was the Swiss Chicken. These recipes are great for those of us who do not have the time to make everything from scratch. Now, about whether to wash or not to wash raw chicken.....No amount of washing or soaking raw chicken will completely kill salmonella and campylobacter bacteria that is found on much of the poultry from the grocery store, skin or no skin. The only way is to cook the chicken throughly. Go ahead and wash it if you must but you are taking a chance on getting the bacteria on yourself and any prep areas from splashing water.

I have recently discovered that I do not like to cook! I used to think I didn’t like to cook because my mom never bought any fancy ingredients lol, but as an adult I tried recipes with my own fancy ingredients and still found cooking to be a drag. I just end up so tired and oily and not hungry by the time I’m done cooking. I’m so glad I found your channel! These recipes are perfect for me and my fiancé. I feel like we will have something tasty to eat now without me doing too much work. You’re the sweetest. Thank you!

Broke college kid here. Definitely gonna have to try the Swiss chicken! When I do chicken soup in the crock pot I usually throw in whatever frozen veggies I have on hand. Kroger has a frozen veg soup base for $1 that’s perfect for stuff like this.

I love making pot roasts/stews in my slow cooker. I like it to have a gravy so I add a corn starch slurry near the end of its cooking. Perfect for the cold winters where I live in Manitoba, Canada 🇨🇦

Which did you try? I tried the tortellini soup and followed verbatim and it did not turn out the same. It didnt have the orange color and the tortellini over cooked that it got mushy. I would throw the pasta in the last hour. My cream cheese didnt even melt all the way either.

Hello Kelly! I made the tortellini soup tonight. (which I have NEVER tried) I added some minced garlic and onion powder and it was delicious. I would also like to add that in the video, you are showing regular diced tomatoes. However the link for the recipe calls for ITALIAN style diced. I've never used those either, and I think they added a nice flavor! Hope others checked out the link too. I made a big loaf of rustic Italian crusty bread with a fresh garlic parm oil dip. It was a very romantic dinner actually. OLIVE GARDEN WHO? Thanks for the recipes. I'll come back and let you know how the chicken soup goes.

For the pot roast if you just sear the meat and sauté the onions before putting them into the crockpot it will make it much more flavorful. Also a packet of Au Jus gravy added makes it taste really delicious

I’m making the tortellini soup right now! I’ve been thinking about it ever since I first watched this video last week. I’ll let you know how it turns out!
@tarynngoodwin5 жыл бұрын
Update: I guess I’m away from home for too long during the week to make this on a work day. It tasted fine, but basically the tortellini burst and the cheese is just out there looking almost like it’s curdled. I don’t think it actually is. I’m just assuming it’s not a very “melty” cheese in there. Also, I used fire roasted garlic diced tomatoes, and that was a win.
@KellysKorner085 жыл бұрын
Yummy... I bet the tomatoes were a win! I have found by trial & error myself. They make wifeless crock pots but I have never tried one myself to see how they work. If they work good, they would be perfect while away from home.

Nanny's taco rice Use rice cooker or stove top. 1c white rice 1 15 oz can petite diced tomatoes or tomato sauce 10 oz chicken broth or water 2 soup spoons taco seasoning 1 teaspoon sugar Salt and pepper to taste 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream to top or any other toppings. Add everything to rice cooker let cook until done and wait five to 10 minutes on warm. You can also add other things to this such as beans or you can serve it anyway that you desire. This recipe can be doubled or tripled for as much as you need it can also be halved. Very versatile and delicious.

I have made this for EONS but in the oven. I use boneless chicken breast, switched to muenster instead of swiss, use cream of mushroom or any of the creamed soups, stuffing on top. I have not tried it with the milk added. I will have to try that and in the crockpot with thighs. :)
