I’m getting my locs done on Tuesday and I’m so excited and nervous at the same time. but at first I was so scared what people would say if my locs are short because one of my friends was like I just can’t people will be laughing and everything so I was having second thoughts but I told my mom to set up the appointment because it’s my choice and body and I always wanted locs so imma get them♥️👏🏽

I'm excited for you!! It's a learning experience and hair alwaysssss grows back babe, so if you don't like them you can comb them out or even big chop and start over lol but I think you're going to love them!

So I also have 4C hair, I use got2bglue on my edges and they last a couple of days! Before I struggled with finding a good product and edges are super healthy now as well!

I have 4c hair , a great edge control is Murrays edgewax extreme hold , its the 100% australian beeswax 🙂✌️

I have thick coils have I think 4b or 4c because it softer in the front & the rest is coily but the Murray edge wax doesn’t work for me 😒 I haven’t came across a edge control that works for me

Try “she is bomb” it’s on Amazon and the beauty supply. You don’t need a lot. That with an edge brush and scarf to lay them will have you set ALL DAY! I have super resistant hair too!

lol yeah you experience ALOT of shrinkage when you start your locs with longer hair, but you’ll see length again before you know it!

if you're just starting you can't really avoid frizz. I would just make sure to keep your hair tied when laying down or relaxing to avoid additional frizz.

some tips would be to moisturize regularly & not to put much tension on your hair ( i’m not sure how long your starter locs would be ) Also I would stay away from conditioner your first couple of months only because your locs will take longer to loc up. Good luck on your journey ! 😊
