I've used all but the first trick. It will come in handy when I create a 2ft line type to show how much drywall is to be removed from a floor plan.

msltscale = 1 AND PSLTSCALE = 1 is a good way to display in model how your layout scale will look. If you have multiple layouts at different scales, just switch your model scale and hit REA to display correctly. Thanks for the great videos!

Good video. The current version of AutoCAD has changed how Trim and Extend work, unfortunately. It has changed how the default cutting plane works. Lucky for us though, there is an option in the command line to use the cutting behavior we all know.
