For me it is #4. It's hard to trust God when everything that I thought was good and right was taken away. But even though I don't feel it right now, I know that God is doing what is best for me, and so I choose to trust Him. That's something that I have to do almost constantly, there are so many things that remind me of the past. But God is bigger than anything that I am going through. He knows what I am feeling and He loves me enough to give me not what I want, but what I need.

Number 4 relates to me! God tested me recently with a guy I loved for 5 years and I was ending our friendship for the better. even though it was emotional week, I trusted God through it all and then God goes and blesses it instead of ending it because I showed him that I trust him! Me and my girlfriend of over a year of dating since high school just had a super healthy breakup last week and literally every single one of these reasons we’re true in our case, and i was honestly shocked. the weekend after this happened i went on a retreat and decided to give myself up for Christ, and I’m so thankful God helped us make that decision now!!

When we are in love, we can be blinded by that love. Having strong faith and great support system are important. Be with someone who will be actively walking beside you or even closely behind you in following Gods path but if you felt that you are already dragging that person with you, in my opinion it will never work and that will be exhausting. Choose to be with someone who brings out your truest identity in Christ. ☺️🙏🏻💙

I've never dated and I've only ever come close to getting in a relationship with one guy, and looking back on it, I can't believe how many red flags there were. It ended before it began. I learned from it. I've moved on (at least mostly.) It still hurts sometimes, but I'm better for it. God definetly has so much better He's preparing for me, and I'm so glad for that.

I was in a toxic relationship last year with a guy and I am so glad that it ended. He was hurting me emotionally and I hadn't even realized it while it was happening. It took my mother saying something to me for me to realize that I need to stop seeing this guy. We only dated for three months before we broke up. I was traumatized because of what he did to me and God healed me. He got me out of an extremely bad situation that could've ended worse than it did.

This is so good to hear:) i learn a lot in your videos and they‘re so inspiring! I‘ve been in a relationship with a boy for about 8 months and we really loved each other. But after several months i had this heavy feeling in me that let me know the relationship has to end. I didn‘t know why, i couldn‘t explain it to myself and neither to my boyfriend or my family/friends. It was such a hard time for me because i knew it has to stop but i didn’t want it to. So i broke up with him and it couldn‘t be more painful. Now, a few months later, i get more and more signs why this decision was the best for all of us. I think god led me this way back to the good path. I had a lot of fun with my exboyfriend but it was wrong. He is not a christian, so that is why our relation would have had no future, because god is the most important person in my life. I am so thankful that he always leads me back to him. Even if we don‘t see the reasons or any sense at the beginning, he is every single time right and if we trust in him, we will never fail, because he loves us❤️

I can especially see it when I look back in my journal and look at my thoughts, feelings, and what was going on in our lives. It gives me great joy to see how God used that relationship in my life though, and how He answered prayer and kept me from being completely destroyed when it ended. Plus, I found you guys shortly after, and you had several videos similar to this one at that time that really spoke to where I was. I started dating my ex-boyfriend when I was 14, we broke up two years later. It truly took horrible things for us to break up. Now two months later, I see that I’m okay without him now, because of God. I yearned for this great love story, but now I am living my great love story with God. I’ve made a promise I’ll wait till I’m 18 to ever even think about pursuing a relationship again and I’ll wait for his timing. God is so good and even in the dark he makes light of my situation.
@naomicomer55345 жыл бұрын
I agree on this completely! Morgan I was in the same situation, I had started dating this guy when I was 14 and it was clean and good but after a year together I broke up with him because I felt like God wanted me to focus on my studies and spending time with family at the time. I'm 17 now and I realize I was so young and didn't even know what I was wanting in a relationship and in a marriage. I still think and pray about a relationship but I still feel like I'm not ready for another relationship yet because I am not ready for marriage and I want to continue growing with God and finding out more of my true identity and desires before I make that step. It's crazy I use to think I had to be in a relationship soon but now I realize how silly that was and I had alot of growing up to do! I realize I would not be where I am today if I had stayed in that spot and didn't listen to what the Lord was saying. I didn't know why God wanted me out of that, I had cried constantly the previous week because I didn't want to break it off, but after I did I knew that it was God because I realized so many things afterwards!

I've never been in a relationship but I did try to be in one before but God has different plans for me because it's either the guy will leave or I'll get scared and be the one to leave. It was frustrating back then. "Why won't God let me be in a relationship?" "All of my friends are in a relationship and I'm not." "What's wrong with me?" And so on and so forth. But I'm really grateful to God because I've learned that true satisfaction can only be found in Him and being in this season of singleness, I could accomplish more things for His glory.

"SOY-FREE... RICE-FREE!" sounds good😂 I've seen sometimes it can be difficult for people to put ALL their faith in the Lord when a relationship ends, because discerning God's will can be tricky. And what I mean by that is that sometimes discerning God's will can feel tricky because of the fear that we are not discerning his will correctly. And I've been thinking about that because I think a lot a lot of people say they put their faith in the Lord... And then they worry sooo much. But when your faith is truly in the Lord it should be easier, because then we can KNOW that good things are waiting for us, even if we don't know when or how. Like in retrospect I've only ever been grateful for things I've gone through that caused me sadness. But while the sadness was happening I was more foggy. Nowadays I turn straight to the Lord when something happens, but I didn't used to when I was young. I'm just interested in this, because I personally think in the end being at peace is not possible if we do not leave our fate up to God.... Because that leaves us always needing to find a way to control everything, when in reality everything cannot be controlled at all. So that's me ranting😂 because you guys and some other people lately have been making me see this more clearly. Anyway I personally agree with you guys on all the reasons you were talking about, and actually it's helping me to think through some things so thanks for that:) I always find you two very logical and grounded.

OH MY LANTA so your second point resonated with me SO.MUCH. That happened two years ago for myself and then last year for one of my really close friends. I was infatuated with a guy and had pretty much convinced myself that we were meant to be and all the signs seemed to be aligning and even a friend or two had been like "yes! I can totally see you guys together!" buuuuut ironically that same close friend, who had her own situation later on, and then my family and some other friends were pretty leery of the whole thing and now, looking back, I'm SOOOOO grateful we never entered a serious relationship! Just a few red flags and things I wasn't looking at clearly 'cause I was blinded by my emotions. And then that same close friend had her own incident last year and she'd fallen for a guy who turned out to be very much NOT who he said he was and she even said "God helped me dodge a bullet by ending the relationship". It's so crazy how He puts the signs there for us to see but we're often just too caught up in our feelings to pay attention and then He like has to hit us over the head, so to speak, to get our attention. But I'm grateful He cares enough about us to steer us clear from people and relationships that are not good for us. And your third reason, I think can apply to friendships too! 'Cause I can think back on friendships I once had that have now ended for whatever reason and I realize that He was teaching me things and I grew and they were friends for a season, not necessarily for life, as sad as that is sometimes :/ Oof, #4 is SOLID. And super challenging for me haha The Morgan-hand-slap, though 😂 Loveeeee you guys and keep shining

You cannot let your beliefs separate you from others. We are called to love one another as ourselves. Think about if you were gay, and it was wrong for you to love as you do. Just take a moment and imagine how much pain you would go through to be questioned over and over about your love. Someone always looking to you and judging your capability to love. The isolation this causes. The shame it inflicts. That is not of God. I hope some day that is apparent to you both. I genuinely love and care for both of you guys as we are brothers and sisters in being created in the perfectness of god! I just hope you guys can open your hearts a little more.

This is all dumb in my opinion. I thought God wanted you to be happy. Not unhappy. Me and my girlfriend were together for four months. And I knew her for 5 months prior. I love her a lot. Hey Paul and Morgan. I just wanted to come on here to say a couple of things. I think you guys do a lot for people as far as encouraging them to seek a relationship with God. I am a christian myself working to become better each day. I think the key to answering some of these controversial questions like, "is being gay a sin," or "is having sex before marriage a sin," or things along the lines of question is to be open to not having an answer. I feel as if I have been at your perspective of Christianity and faith before, but things have change the more I allow myself to grow close to those I disagree with. I am a gay christian and its really hard to hear you guys talk about being gay when you have no idea. How is it that you could say being gay is wrong? Why does that make sense to you guys? I am genuinely curious. I am comfortable enough with my sexuality and my relationship with God because I gave it up to God to show me what is true about being gay. I thought I would just be single for forever if that was the will of God and to fight being gay. But the truth is guys, Its love. The most god filled moments in my life are the moments of intimacy with my girl friend. The same feeling that you to have after being intimate with each other. Skin to skin, heart to heart. That feeling is the same. And if you really open your heart to asking god about this, I think you will understand. God DOESN'T make mistakes. I am gay. And I am nothing that God hasn't made me to be. You guys know that to be true about yourselves, and I know that to be true about myself. In fact, my love is the only thing I really have ever been sure of and I have no idea how true love could not glorify Jesus. It breaks my heart to know that people think love is a sin. It is the same love and you both have for each other. I wish you both to see that. Please open your heart to question this. Gay people aren't bad people. There love just looks different to you. But as christians we know that love is not of the flesh, it is beyond. But all homophobia is is a misunderstanding that our love is only of the flesh. That is simply not true. Our love is just as spirited as yours. Consider it. You don't have to understand it to accept it.

Hey guys. Great video. I loved all the things you have talked about. I have a question. I'm 14 and a half and I actually think a lot about marriage. I'm not planning to have a boyfriend in high school right now but when you said people like my age are too young to think about something serious, does that mean I shouldn't be thinking about marriage. I mean, the only time I ever liked a boy was last year and I foolishly thought he had Husband potential, but God showed me his true colors. I stay to myself and I don't like start having little crushes and I don't worry about finding a Husband. But I always hope and wait for the one I'm supposed to be with and I think about it a lot, even though I am far from it. Is that wrong?

Keviena Dixon focus your eyes fully on Christ and live your life for God, let Him mature you, grow you, and use you for His glory, enjoy life the way God wants you to, and if God chooses for you to get married one day when the time is right , then so be it, if not, be content in Christ, enjoy being single, don’t dwell on finding someone it only causes disappointment and drags you away from God. I hope this helps I’m some way. Always keep God number 1 no matter what.

@@Jessie20032 thank yo so much. That helps a lot. Right now I am focusing on God but I feel like my attention has been split, thinking about the day I might get married. So I'm going to work on spending more time on me and God and letting myself know that it's all about him and I and even if I get married, then it would still be that way. What you said really does help, so thank you so much ❤❤❤❤❤

All soo true!!! Do you have any advice/encouragement, I’ve been struggling spiritually recently with giving up my wants for time with God. This video helped me realize that growth doesn’t happen without God. And that if I have my standards set on a christian guy I need more personal growth and to hold myself to a higher standard, you know?

That’s cool you recognize that :) Sometimes you just gotta discipline yourself to get in the word and prayer, even if you don’t totally feel like it. You might look to cut out something to make time :)

Hi Paul and Morgan! Thank you for your video. Could it be possible for better quality audio? There is something different in your video kind of sound (echo). I compared it to other videos and its fine for my computer. I'm no expert but for me, it's difficult to listen to you and stay listening and perceive information.

I know I'm late so sorry. I came out of a relationship that taught me some real life lessons back in September. I think its obvious that God put this woman in my life to help me grow, but it's becoming painfully obvious lately that we just aren't going to work out. But I don't know, perhaps I'm asking the wrong people, but I've got no one else, but do you think 19 is too young to think about dating and meeting someone special to marry one day? I still live with my mom, and I have a decent job, but it's no career. I honestly don't know what to do with my life to put it bluntly. Living on my own is unlikely for the next year or so considering my family situation. I want a relationship so bad and a good wife more than that, but the odds aren't really in my favor. Idk, I need some advice. 🙏🙏🙏 Pleeeaaase.

Hey, I have a honest question. What is an appropriate boundary/way/rule about traveling together. I feel so many thoughts about falling into the temptation to have sex/or even if we don't have sex, just keep up the image that we arent having sex by not staying in hotel rooms together on a multi day trip. I want to honor God, respect everyone in my current and future circumstance, with my sexual purity and relationship as a God honoring relationship. So , I honestly don't have peace about it. Some unmarried couples at my church travel together often. Others dont. I dont know what the "right" answer is. Can you offer your thoughts Paul & Morgan? God Bless.

Matthew 5:17-19 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. (plerosai: meaning fully preach) For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (Genetai: meaning come to pass) Whoseover therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

So don't date until your 25?!! Nope dating is about learning what you want and don't want and it potentially leads to marriage done the road.
