Interesting. Appreciate the honesty, esp from a tech channel.

Thank you Tony, for such an honest review. Your reviews are better than CNET! I agree with you that $1,000.00 for a phone is getting crazy. Especially as you point-out, it is only a little bit better camera, and a little bit better refresh rate, etc. And your information on 5G was very informative. Thank you, for telling us the truth, and not just pushing the latest, most flashy devices.

I 100% agree. I'm still using a Huawei Mate 10 pro and wont upgrade 'til there is some huge jump in tech. I find the incremental steps in tech is so minimal that there isn't a point yet.

That's a great phone...there just isn't a huge upgrade out there waiting for you.

I agree these bigger phones are just too expensive, in a couple months the price will go down so you might as well wait. On the other hand I can see people wanting the latest phones out there. Personally I buy a new phone every 3 years or so (still rocking the Oneplus 5), it'll be interesting how I'll handle a bigger phone like the Oneplus 8 Pro since I'm pretty much set on getting that one.

That's a pretty good idea, I think I saw someone said they paid $750 for a Note 10...that's a lot of phone for $750. If you don't need to be on the bleeding edges, you can use your phone longer these days. I just don't think the power is really noticeable. The biggest thing is not having replaceable batteries anymore.

I'm from Minnesota, it definitely says Grey Duck. (I got the shirt at Target and they are all in for Minnesota) I don't recognize that Goose bs.

To address the bigger screen problem, personally, I feel like tablets are a slowly dying medium. Only the elderly and small children use them for leisure and other than that, tablets are mostly used for jobs. I'm fine with phones becoming bigger because they're phasing out the use of tablets by sliding into that size factor. Plus I just like big phones because typing on a virtual keyboard is much easier when the screen itself is bigger.

You're right, I work in Corporate IT and people gobble up the Surface Pros(really any Surface model) and iPads for travel. Some of our ELT can do most of their job on a basic tablet. Ugh, don't even get me started on virtual keyboards! I miss my Palm Treos and the like with physical keyboards. I just hate typing on screens now.

I agree...likely skipping this one. I got the Note 10 plus for $750 after taxes.

That's a ton of phone for the price. You won't benefit from spending the money, unless you want to trade in. I'm going to pre-order the Ultra, but only because they are going to give me a buttload($600 for the S10+, I think $700 for the Note 10+)on my old S10+. Probably move on quickly because I shouldn't have a $1600 phone.

Exactly and the camera phone is still a camera phone, i see this companies promoting the camera features never gonna reach an actual camera as the best like Canon Sony etc
@TalkinTech4 жыл бұрын
Exactly. If I am just taking everyday photos, no one is going to give a sh*t if it was on an S20 Ultra or an S7. They can improve these all they want, but the sensor still is physically limited in a phone and it will hardly ever perform well in low lighting. I remembered when I first got started out on here, I was filming with Pixel XL, it would drop frames while recording because I didn't have great lighting. It's why I have an actual camera now...you just can't compete.
