PlayStation is betting on selling around 1,500,000 ps5 pro consoles to recuperate their losses from concord, and stuff will become even crazier if they actually sell this many ps5 pro’s (all tech companies will start asking money for stuff you don’t get if Sony reaches their goal).

most expensive part on steel or titanium AW is that sapphire glass with rounded edges... Aluminium AW doesnt have that.

For the luxury or hobby watch market, 200 is a reasonable price for titanium. But the apple watch is designed to be disposed of every few years. This is what makes it expensive.

Ecosystem. For example I hate windows, and do not use my PC for anything else than gaming. Then if i need to get smartphone, i have 2 options. High-end android which is going to be full with third party staff, or iphone which is going to have the same settings, menu and options exactly as Mac from box without nees to have sparate accounts, users, software, configurations, and many more. That is the reason. People do not want spend time doing more actions. They just want to start using. That is why it is hard to change ecosystem. Because ecosystem will always work better than combination of different products. For this reason, the time person will spend doing configs, dowloading separate app for each android staff, charged by apple as money. Like whether you pay, or spend your time, which you can use to make money or for family. However, using iPhone with windows is nightmare. For microsoft dudes better to use android only.

Just discovered yesterday that Sequoia plugged a “hole” that someone exploited to allow monitor volume and other monitor attribute to be controlled via keyboard. Of course, there’s a fix again but this time the software is $20. I don’t mind paying it, small software developers deserve support. I’m pissed that Apple would design a system that requires it in the first place.

The watch band with my Apple Watch 9 (recycled) contained enough industrial garbage that I had allergic reactions to it. All my previous apple watches had bands I couldn't even feel. It took nearly a year to find a decent band that didn't fall apart.

For like a decade I had the same attitude - overpriced for the same hardware, populated by fanboys who don't know any better. But last year I noticed that apple pro max is the same price as galaxy ultra, and since I'm gonna get the nicest smartphone I can anyways I gave it a shot. And frankly I am happier with an iphone. Also the only accessories I've bought (airtags, airpods, apple watch) have been incredible and easily worth it, way better than their respective products in an android ecosystem.

I know its joke, but its a lot more expensive to mill the titanium in the watch as opposed to just casting it with aluminum. also the titanium models come with gps+cellullar and a sapphire crystal display, which isn't as easy to work with as well as glass either.

The big difference with Sony and Samsung: those things aren't necessarily "necessities." I have an original PS5 and I immediately threw the stand away; and with USB-C becoming universal, I don't need a new cord an plug with every device. By now, most people have multiple. And that was kind of the point: the EU wanted to stop the production of trash cords, and they did a splendid job.

Not all usb pd chargers are alike. They support different wattage output. I have a few chargers but I don't have a bunch high power ones sitting around as they are expensive.

Im pretty sure next one I'll buy i will want 68W. So all the charges i have in my drawer are just emergency backups but useless. And this trend of better batteries and faster charging will surely continue. Who wants to wait an hour when u can charge in 10 minutes
