I've owned every LG since the G2. The Velvets lack of a Quad DAC and low Quality ultra wide sealed the deal for me. You can get a V60 for like $30 more. The design is spectacular though.

Excellent job on this video. I have this phone and really like it. It is my first LG phone so I m quite happy with it ,ive had Samsung S phones the last 10 years(3,5 and 8). Price point convinced me and over all great reviews to buy the Velvet.I got my phone in June 2021 on EBAY for $209.

I had a number of complaints with my T mobile variant but I FINALLY got android 11 and it fixed a good deal of those issues 👌🏽 it's a great phone. I'd taken a break from it because I thought it was just going unsupported but man when you pick it up again,it really does feel great in the hands 😂😂 LG was so close to nailing their perfect phone. It's sad they dropped out.

It is so sad they left the space, BUT they did so to focus on other telecomm related production things, like the 5G Small Cells & more. LG does have the U+ network in South Korea, so they still have a lot of operating revenue, despite the mobile division dying off. Xiaomi is really who did that to them…LG couldn’t compete with those super SUPER low prices, & just bowed out.

What I like about this phone is that LG can give Samsung DeX-like feature on an upper midrange smartphone. Not even Samsung themselves can give DeX for their higher-end Galaxy A models. This phone really shows that you don't need to spend a lot of money for flagship power to do pocket computing.

Bought this 4G version (has 6GB RAM) and got the android 11 update yesterday. The problem is that the system by itself is loaded out now by 3.7 GB of RAM (plus 1.3GB by the apps). so i have now less than 1GB RAM remaining. i dont know what to do. is it ok??

Good luck finding a Dual Case for it but apart form that it's still worth it. I have got the 5G version but now I'm thinking to buy the 4G version for half the price too as it has a beefier SOC although less efficient. I love the fact that you can use an active pen with it with built in software for it - it not as good as the software on the SNote but it got the apps you would most use. The SD card support and headphone jack/IP 68/Mil spec shock resistance is just iceing on the cake. Phones got to the point where you don't need to buy the newest one each year in fact at times you will be worth off because most of the phones do not have lifestyle features. 90 hrz screen is good but after a while you do not care about it, I had to swich my Tab 7 Plus to 60 hrz because 120 chew through the battery and for me a slighly smoother scrolling experiance isn't worth it.

I have bought LG Velvet 5G korean version about 5 months ago. Android 11 updates and security patch. Decent display but watching movie experience is still great too., though display density is not that great as Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G. I am really frustrated with this version as there is no Dual Screen Case available in any online market platform so far and no Quad DAC support. Overall it is okay for a premium midranger. Good battery life. Good stereo speakers. Camera, video and performance wise is just mediocre for a daily driving. Still reliable in 2022.

Gcam blows the stock camera out of the water on this phone. It's no contest 😂😂 however it's alot harder to find a good port for this phone. On my galaxy a71 the first port I tried is fully functional, on my velvet I had to take to forums to find out wtf other people were using and even then the best one I found crashes and takes like 4 seconds to get a shot.

Still rocking my Velvet. Pics are great! I was looking at the New Moto Edge 2021 but no stereo speakers, & headphone jack kinda deterred me from trading it in. I've already received 3 updates since LG left the mobile business, not bad! I also like One Plus phones but I don't think AT&T supports them. So far, friends & family are still impressed w/the Velvet's camera 👍

Looses battery even faster if I'm watching a video. It's only a day old. I head the phone has good battery life. But mines battery drainage seems odd.

@@baroneleve1196 Kinda odd. Do you have the brightness on "max"? Running alot of apps? Bluetooth? Those factor in, too. My device is 1yr old and I listen to music at work so naturally its draining a bit quicker. But on the contrary, battery life is one the reasons I like this phone. Hmmm

@@Jimmy_630 I have brightness at 12% auto. Bluetooth has been off ever since. At any giving time, two to three apps could be running when in use. But I always clear all when not in use. It even discharges quicker than Normal if I just allow the screen on without use.

i had the v60 and its frustrating slow the ui was very laggy my old iphne 6 plus was faster,but the speaker and camera quality is superb sold it though,downgraded to lg velvet this is so much faster,I believe v60 had so much bloatwares in it.

I got my LG Velvet last december for 29 Euros and a cell phone plan which includes free texting and calling and 6GB internet for just 10 euros a month. I am so happy with it. It was a bargain. Best phone I've ever had. That was around 4-5 month before LG annouced they will stop selling phones.. I don't know if I had still bought it if I had that info in december.

outside the market that this phone were targeted , it is no longer worth it for me at least in my country , volte is a mandatory and as of now you can get a much more powerful , better display, lighter and slimmer 11 ne 5g for the same price I'm using it now after selling my v50 and man it's fast as heck faster than that sd855 v50 could you imagine that with 90hz buttery smooth
