Spot on! glad to see the appreciation of the Pixel device, yes its not the best phone on the market but the UI is fluid and polished, love the at a glance widget and a single app for everything , i have tried Samsung phones multiple times they are premium but cannot stand the ONE UI bloatware, hence why i keep coming back to Pixel.

Decided to switch from Apple to Android about six months ago. The features you mentioned are all the reasons I decided on Pixel vs. Samsung. All the smart features related to reminders, schedules, etc. are incredibly helpful. I find these features much more useful than anything in the Apple ecosystem. All that and Pixel phones are much less expensive than their Apple and Samsung counterparts (at least for now).

If you are living in a hot climate like anywhere in SEA or South America - avoid pixel until they dodge the horrible chipset. The device constantly overheats and slows down to a crawl. Horrible experience, was great in England but not in Thailand

The Tensor 5 in the Pixel 10 should be made with TSMC instead of being based on Samsung Exynos. Hardware wise Pixel phones are behind but they have a clean UI & quite a few unique features. Samsung wins in customisation & ecosystem but besides one or two things I'd like the rest I could care less.

To see a Samsung user amazed by the 'ordinary' Pixel features that I've gotten so used to, and probably am taking for granted, is eye opening. Now I understand how I inadvertently caused 6 (android) friends to switch to Pixels, after letting them play with my phone. What I don't understand is I have a pixel 8A and it has a higher camera than the pixel 8 and the pixel 8 has a 50 megapixel camera where the 8A has a 64 megapixel camera...

well, technically the 50mpx sensor on pixel 8 is physically larger despite having less megapixels than 64mpx 8a. It means that the Pixel 8 sensor gathers more light and its just better in detail and noise than 8a . Megapixels are just marketing, ask yourself why some professional cameras DSLRs and Mirrorles with full frame sensors has 20, 24 mpx only ? Thats because the lerger physical size of individual pixel on the sensor - the more light this is capable of gather in a shorter time, so the picture overall has less noise and more details (especially in low light situations). Pixel 8 is more advanced than Pixel 8a, and has better image quality because of the physically larger sensor, and paradoxically - 14 mpx less.
