Great video, im happy we have choices because everyone is different. I run no magnet with track boarders and use urethane and rubber because i like the drift in the corners 🙂

I wont lie, that drift makes me want to switch over. Silicone does drift but I feel there would be more control and smoother glides on urethane.

If you're going to race on another track they might not allow silicone. A lot of home tracks in Sarnia.

I use urethane because of videos that said you have to change fronts as well so the rear silicon tyres do not pick up the rubber from the front tyres left on track. did you find that to be an issue thanks .Sherm

I've never noticed that the front tires gave off so much rubber that I needed to clean them more often than usual. The biggest culprit is dust on the track in my experience. Unfortunately, Carrera original rubber tires will degrade over time so I will eventually change all my front tires to "Zero grip" tires that are pre-made. Urethane is a popular and great tire to use. It's all a matter of taste and preference in this hobby :)

@@IrrerasCarrera thank you i bought second hand and the track looks hardly used but 6 out of the 12 cars had no tyres but a rock hard mess over an hour to clean all the remains of the rims and lumps all over the track. still have 4 cars that I can not get any original or after market as of yet. fronts are the issue. I am in Australia.

We run rubber or urethane at Clearwater 124 Raceway.

The word on the street is that us silicone guys clean up all that good rubber stuck on the track. I wish it were not so.
