Sir, One more factor could be change of place for pursuing the degree. I live in a place where there are no good colleges which can provide good teaching or placements. I'm a fresh graduate. I'm not in a situation to relocate or leave my hometown to other place where the desired college is located. I think ,in such cases Online MBA comes to rescue, when and where it provides better education than the local colleges. Please express your opinion on this matter.

I do agree with your point but somehow you will have to go out for work post MBA. Because you won't always get opportunities near your hometown.

Ya, you can go for the program, but it will be beneficial in terms of learning only. If are looking for a career change or job change in near future, with the help of an online MBA, then it would be difficult.

Please listen to them carefully, I would recommend that because whether you do an online MBA or offline, it depends on your background and expectations. For some, it could be beneficial in the long run and for some it is not. The scenarios which I talk about are indicators and if you fall in those, then you can have a basic idea of whether to go for an online MBA or not. The outcome of any program depends on your stage of career, so I never mention any generic statement that “online MBA is of no benefit”. You should mention your background and expectations and the answer will be tailor made for your background. In videos, I can’t cover 100’s of scenarios, so we use few cases.

Thanks for the message! Since you already have a rich experience, so I don’t think an online MBA would be a key factor in your transition to C-Suite in the next few years. Have said that, you can consider good EMBA programs such as ISB, though the program is a little expensive, still I believe it will be useful. Rest I need to understand a little more in detail about your profile and aspirations.

With 2 years of experience, it would be better to go for a full time MBA. But if you can’t do it due to any reason, then you may go for an online MBA. Ha ha! Nothing is useless in this world. It depends on which stage you are. When you read or listen what I said, be careful! I have spoken about a variety of cases and in most online MBA might not be a great idea but for some it might be of use. I don’t give general comments on anything, it should according to the question and individual!

To answer your question of managing an online MBA along with the job, I would say yes you can! Definitely if you want to do great in academic part during the program, it will be a little challenging sometime, but still its manageable.

MBA is a general program where you are going to study all the business courses such as finance, marketing, HR, etc. in the first terms and later you pick up the specialisation. So courses are not difficult except accounting, finance if you don’t have quantitative background. For rest of the courses you can manage the scores easily. Overall also it is quite possible to score 80% and above!
