Great video! I appreciate and agree with you wholeheartedly! Making my own coffee really changes my mood and outlook for the day. Hands down, after the initial cost, making your own coffee pays for itself 10 fold!

I am a person who enjoys fussing over the coffee preparation. Hands down- aero press is my favorite. To me- coffee fussing is love.💕

I have a Breville barista express that I bought from William Sonoma in Annapolis in 2010. It’s a work horse. Still makes delicious espresso and cappuccino. Nice and hot too. This morning the clean me light came on. Used a cleaning tab followed by a through rinse. I use whole bean Peruvian from local grocery store. Also have a Nespresso which is quick but good. I use L’ore columbian capsules. French press is good too and I have a cozy to keep it hot. The grinds are hard to clean out. I also like my moka pot. My Cusinart drip machine with stainless steel carafe is easy but the carafe doesn’t keep coffee hot at all. Finally sometimes I use my farberware percolator which makes delicious coffee, fast and extremely hot. I enjoy using all of them and alternate if I want.

I am trying to find a nice beginners machine but I can’t decide! I love the look of the Ascaso Uno but I’m not sure I like the interface and lack of gauges. I was also considering the Dialetta Mio due to the unique extra Thermoblock for steaming. I will be making milk drinks and don’t have the right circuit for a dual boiler setup. Lelit Mara is so unique looking but I’m afraid it will be too confusing. Help!

Honestly you can't go wrong with any of the above! Gauges are nice to help troubleshoot issues, but you really don't need them especially when starting out. Many enthusiast like to have them for aesthetics as much as function, so if everything else about the Uno speaks to you I say go for it! That said, both of the other machines you mentioned are great to get started with as well. We'd say that if you want a machine that's more hands on and less programming focused, but has that ounce of extra performance, the Mio is the way to go. That said, the Lelit is excellent if you want to have to option of some heavier programming via the Lelit Control Center. If we had to choose we'd probably recommend the Mio, but each of these machines has its pros and cons!
