Your explanations is the best! The content is great but there are others with great content. The way you speak your script is what makes your content stand out. I try to follow the other guys who read out loud and it's so hard to pay attention to a monologue but you speak to the audience and that is what makes listening to you fun and interesting. I connect with “increased expectations”!!!! That’s the big one for my family. I remember when my kids were little and my wife and I both worked. Our combined monthly budged was 5,000 just 6yrs ago. Today I am the sole provider now with approximately 15,000 a month to budget, but now it’s a new house, private school, gymnastics… Cars haven’t changed (we look like the clampetts of the neighborhood lol), house is on a 15yr mortgage with a higher interest rate than I wanted to spend. Saying no every other day to your kids that constantly ask if they can do what X family in the neighborhood is doing is hard… We have the margin but don’t want to waste everything just to keep up with the Jones… We are not pay check to pay check but I understand how someone with a 400k income can end up there.

Many decades ago I started my first professional job at $31K a year. That was so-so money back then. 7 years later and a couple unplanned job changes I was making a little over $100K. Salary didn't continue to go up at that rate but it went up pretty good. We still live a lot like we did in those $31K days. We drive better cars (10 year old Subarus rather than a 20 year old Renault) and we bought a larger house ($200K rather than the $89K first house). We're lucky that physical things and keeping up with the Joneses just doesn't mean much to us. I just retired a couple years earlier than I'd planned. We wouldn't have been able to do that if we'd led a paycheck-to-paycheck lifestyle. Instead we'd have bills and a bunch of junk that's depreciated to nothing.

Invalid title; by definition wealth does not live paycheck to paycheck. Perhaps “highly paid” would be more accurate; one can be highly paid and still not use that wealth-building tool to become wealthy. Robert Kiyosaki says wealth is measured in time. If you lost your J-O-B, how much time would you have til you’re in trouble?
