do you have any recommendations for rental sites? looking for short term (3 months)

It depends on which city you are looking to stay in. When we are in Vietnam we stay in my wife's hometown at the family house. We did do a very short term rental in Ho Chi Minh City a couple of times, One place that we liked was called Ha Do Apartments. They have villas, but we liked staying in their high-rise. I think we were in the Orchid building, but they have about 6 of them all there together. They are a bit on the higher end, but they were super nice. I think we paid like 500 for 2 weeks, but that was for a 2 bedroom on the top level, because we were staying with the family. You could problem get a much better deal for a 3 month stay. A lot of tenets rent their own apartments out so that could make the price very as well. Hope this helps some. If you have anymore questions, I will do my best to help.

Thanks man. So I currently have a 6 year Visa, but that is because of my wife being from Vietnam and being a dual citizen. From what I remember from before we got married it is pretty easy to get a 3 month Visas, and then after that you may have to leave and can come right back for another one. If you want to go longer term I don't think it is too hard for American's but you'd have to look into the options. Haha sorry I need to light it better. We got back to America late July after staying right at 6 months and I don't really have a good space setup here. We should be heading back sometime early next year. Right now I am just making videos out of the places we were able to go last time, and making videos like this one to stretch the content I do have. I think I have about 4 or 5 more full on location videos I can make with the current amount of footage I have so videos like this are essential.

Well I was trying to be conservative with my estimates because everyone's idea of quality of life is different. Of course you can get by with less, if you want to budget out everything. I did say a good comfortable life for 12 to 1500 a month so I was including accommodations, food, and fun. Also I do have a family so maybe my view is a bit skewed towards the higher side. Anyway sorry you didn't find value. Hope you find the right video for you.
