Moreover They have super costly bike from triumph and not the mediocre ones from Royal Enfield or Honda,and when you pay premium you expect premium service from the brand but triumph gave them pathetic service or better to call headache 😕😕

how's the service interval a reason to buy or not a bike?? it's 16k kms or 1 year I suppose? and 99% of the bike owners are not even going to make it 10k kms........so what's the point of making a fuss on it?? I think a Bajaj customer care was handling the booking of triumph. Bajaj must have trained his employer for the booking of triumph speed 400, but that customer care guy mistakenly typed dominar 400.

Few good points are mentioned in the video. Though the reviews are paid and influencers are promoting it but they do give some reasons behind it. Even if Bajaj has made this then still its Triumph bcz they must have done in collaboration and some thinking. Big bikes are alsways going to be costly in servicing. I m still slightly positive and waiting for few months for the bikes updated reviews are needed. Also Ola and other bike company also had initial issues but it is how they all grew. Let this collaboration prove themselves

16000 is big service interval for high rev single cylinder engine especially in India were there are 4 climate differentials , dusty almost all the time and traffic. Imagine driving triumph in heavy traffic under 3rd gear for 16000 kns . Your engine won't last 20000 kms

I pre booked the bike. Not the guy who goes behind the brand names. But I think it is good on paper. And my decision to buy it will only come after having a good test ride. Yes even I’m afraid of that long service interval. RE and KTMs have service intervals of 5k and 7.5k kms for a reason. This 16k is just too much and even 1 year timeline is just too much. I’m sure that this 2nd service cost is gonna be bomb and give mini heart attacks for the owners due to all the parts that need to be replaced😅

Looks like the problem seems to be triumph Mumbai and not the bike. Bajaj making it for entire world will have higher quality People in Europe and US don’t tolerate bad quality . When you ride in dusty conditions with questionable and inconsistent fuel quality , it’s on owner to adjust service intervals. Most of us here in US know how to work on our bikes . I don’t think it’s a brand issue but it’s a local issue Triumph and BMW along with Japanese brands have great reputation here in US I had two triumphs speed twin and now tiger 900 gt pro and never had issue And my dealer himself is so passionate about triumphs that they go out of the way to make sure all the work on the bike is done to the specs. Hope this perspective is balanced to separate your unfortunate experience with more global view.

You don't think it is a brand issue 🙂...as if we did not reached India Triumph for giving us some solution for the bad service even after multiple emails they were in deaf mode 🙂..So yes it is a Brand issue because if the brand itself turning deaf after hearing customers issue why the hell any xyz service centre even bother to hear your problems. Also US and India they are 2 opposite poles ...US dust ratio is very low if we compare it with India ...So service intervals for Indian customers should be lower and it should be announced accordingly which was obviously not categorised properly..

Guys where will we get the material specs of the parts used , It will be possible to analyse the life of the part by its material and functional design .(prove anybody theoritically or pratically 16K no service is a bluff for sure. For example we have seen the Bajajs have been using thermal sensors in triumphs which costed 15K INR might be justified on the tiger or Bonville but not on speed 400 comparing their prices.

I was confused about the same, hence I was waiting for scrambler 400x but then I decided to maybe buy Himalayan 450 when it's out. I am KTM owner and I have riding experience of 15 years, and KTM servicing is horrible, plus the heating issues Mumbai ani Thane mede phar ahet. My everyday commute is 62 Km to and fro, so which bike I should go for, the only problem i see with Himalayan 450 is lack of tubeless tyres.

That is quite strange & interesting. I own a BS3 Preowned 2016 mojo and NEVER had any problem either with the Engine, Body Parts or All India Service ..be in MH, GJ RJ, KA, WB. Wonder aapko 2015 wale piece mein apko kya jhelna pada. Abhi with BS6 & ABS, its broader chassis & longer seat, its at a different refined level. But I still love my BS3😊

Thank you for sharing your views. You guys have a lot of experience under your belt, and have first hand experience of Triumph non-existent service. My reasons for booking: 1. Don't care for Triumph Brand. Would have loved if this came under Bajaj, same as Harley/Hero Davidson. It is an additional factor, but not deciding one. 2. I have been on the lookout for a torquey motorcycle with good suspension and light clutch for a long time. Classic 350 has heavy clutch and dull power at good speeds, Honda CB350 has weird gear ratios and hard suspension, though with a very smooth clutch. Meteor 350 has too much front set footpegs, making it hard to ride on rough roads as all shocks are absorbed by the rider's bum. 3. Speed 400 has a nice torque curve right from 2500/3000 to 7000, has six gears with hopefully a smooth clutch, even the suspension is getting good reviews. With an accessible 790mm seat height, it is suitable for most average heighted riders. If above points are confirmed in the test ride, I am going ahead with the booking. 16,000kms OR 1 year, which I suspect time limit will be applicable for most riders in this class. 1 year is a good service interval. 4. VStrom 650 is almost impossible to find in used market, and is quoted at absurd prices. Again, I respect your views and I hope that Triumph and Bajaj picks up their game to finally have a meaningful offering in the city / touring power segment.

You have to take that statement with a pinch of salt. Another design flaw I found with the bike is its coolant reservoir. its below the engine. while off-roading it might break..

Good one..appreciate your Honesty. I ride Interceptor 650cc from Vasai to Airoli Mindspace for more than 2 years and really happy with my Bike. No bike is perfect but Interceptor 650cc fit my utility, riding style and daily need. I had many big brand earlier in my family but after seeing all settled to Interceptor and peace of mind. Wanted to BMW 850GSA but at 5"7 was not able to lift her off stand & have to tip toe due to way seat is designed. But I tried BMW XR 900 was quick and easy. Only thing I back offed due to my height and weight of bike which really difficult in traffic conditions and some tricky off road condition which I face regularly while coming to office from Vasai which is a patch of 3 to 4 kms due to traffic jam at Versova Creek bridge.
