Couldn’t agree more with washing hair every day!! I used to wash my fine hair only twice a week because of the hair training myth. And I think it made my hair thinner. 2 months ago I started to wash every day/ every other day. The first washes I was still loosing clumps of hair. But after a few weeks, the hair shedding became less and less.

Your comments about daily hair washing are so refreshing and reassuring. I wash my hair daily although it's not oily. It's because I do a lot of sports and because of pollen allergies and just because I love the feeling of a fresh scalp. I alternate my hair care routine daily (currently between K18, Redken ABC, Paul Mitchell and Phyto). I've also found that it's not daily washing that's damaging and drying out your hair but harsh treatment and heat styling. I dyed my hair completely dark brown 2 years ago after 35 years of bleaching and highlights to get it healthy again. Since then, I use microfiber towels, only blow-dry the roots briefly on a cold setting and let the rest air-dry. I always use UV protection leave in / oil or spray in the summer. I also use a silk pillowcase and silk hair elastics. Every other day I do coconut or other natural oil treatments before washing. I hardly ever wear my hair down because it just annoys me on my face. I like to braid it or wear it loosely twisted together in a clip. Since I've made these changes, my hair grows faster and has regained its natural wave and elasticity. Of course also because of the professional hair care. Anyway, thank you so much for this video, which has really encouraged me to continue in the same way.

I’m really starting to think that hair training is what made my hair thinner. I used to have insanely thick hair and I would wash it every other day until my hair stylist told me that was bad. I then started washing it less often, using dry shampoo and then a more clarifying shampoo. I’ve had more scabs/dandruff ever since. I’m going to wash it every other day with a more hydrating shampoo and see what happens

Please don't use dry shampoo ever, it clogs your hair follicles like crazy and mops up the oils that your hair is supposed to be getting used to during "hair training". Not that I would recommend hair training, but I do wash with the most gentle products and methods to maintain some beneficial oils in the hair.

@@cherryj1425 Yeah my hair looked amazing when I washed my hair every other day with a hydrating shampoo, and I rarely used dry shampoo back then

Same thing happened to me. My dermatologist said they had huge volumes of women coming in after getting the same advice of not to wash their hair as often

Does anyone else have the problem of getting your hair trimmed, and they don’t cut off all the split ends? I know it’s inevitable, but it’s annoying when the hair stylist doesn’t cut everything off.
@Captain_Kirk2 ай бұрын
absolutely. that's why I look for the split ends myself and cut them off by myself. Especially the day before going to the salon for trimming.

Hey, Jas! I am a bit confused, in two videos before you said you had dry scalp, and as it gets oily at day 3, I would say it is oily(?) would you wanted to say by dry, that it is sensitive?? Or its actually dry?
@alansosalaraАй бұрын
Also what curl pattern would you say your hair is?
@jasanahisАй бұрын
so my scalp is actually super dry but my hair itself gets oily at the roots! super frustrating bc i can still have a dry/flaky scalp with oily roots 🥲

personally, i think the healthiest hair is a blunt cut with rounded corners and soft layers at the ends! (:
